Spring may not be in the air just yet, since Europe is still freezing and all. But Lancome's Spring 2012 Collection Roseraie des Delices (Rose Garden of Delights) is out and gives you a gorgeous taste of spring. Inspired by a rose garden cherished by Nelly, the wife of Lancome's founder, the pastel colours from this collection is perfect for spring. Rose garden party anyone? With Lancome's the latest ambassadress Hanaa Ben Abdesslem fronting the Spring Campaign, she lends a sensuously feminine feel to it.

Aaron De Mey had in mind a woman relaxing, maybe throwing open her bedroom windows and taking chairs out into the garden to laze in the soft light filtering through the leaves. This is also his last and final collection for Lancome.

I attended a tea party at the Lancome Parkson Pavilion counter yesterday to experience this whimsically beautiful collection. Lancome will be holding a day long Tea Party at various counters on different days just to allow its fans try out the latest collection and also learn how to apply makeup and bring out the best of Spring colours with the help of Lancome's Colour Design Artists. Cupcakes will also be served. ;)

Unlike the previous collections where I found the blush to be the main attraction of a collection, this time the Vert Tendresse stole the show. It's a gorgeous mint and greens eye palette that looks so fairytale-like. I lurv ♥ lurv this palette! The colour stands out like no other. The other eye palette is Rose Romance features soft pinks, peach and burgundy. RM140 each.

The blush however does not disappoint with the signature rose design that's just beautiful. La Roseraie Blush Palette (RM120), a limited edition piece is a rosey-peach powder blush that evens out and illuminates the complexion. The rosy shade brightens the complexion and the peach gives it a natural glow. How to wear it: Blend both shades together and apply to cheeks, chin and forehead. The pink shade can also be applied to the upper cheekbones to accentuate or just below the eye to disguise dark circles.

French Touch Absolu Lipstick comes in three shades (RM80) . Rose Candy - a vibrantly radiant fuchsia, Cotton Candy - soft pink, Sweet Marmalade - a sheer coral. The packaging is really pretty!

*Flips through the papers* Oh wow!! When I was asked whether this was something I wanted to do I didn't expect a full page feature. I vaguely remember the interview taking place but can't for the life of me recall what I said. I was keeping my fingers crossed I didn't sound a mess.

When I saw the feature I was over the moon. Never seen a photo of me that huge before. Lol!! As for sounding a mess, well the only thing I can say is the article was just ace. Not So Naked

I finally defaced the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! I have a whole post on Naked 2 and will be putting it up soon. Since I can already play around with the colours, I created the 'Not So Naked' look. Come on the palette isn't exactly boring despite the name.

My eye makeup skills still needs work but I'm learning. Its gotten better though. Lol. I used Verve on the entire lid, Pistol on the outer corner, Snake Bite in the crease and Booty Call to highlight. More on this look and other looks with the Naked 2 write up.

Running off to buy a certain newspaper now. *winks*

MAC Me Over Lipsticks and Lipglasses

Remember the MAC Me Over collection which was launched for Fall/Winter 2011. Well I have a few of the lipsticks and lipglasses from that collection in case you guys were wondering how some of the shades would look like on a medium skin-toned me. I have with me on the one hand an extreme bright and intensely dark shade and on the other hand some really nude ones. Some crazy dramatic shades on me. Sounds fun already! As with all MAC lippies, expect the vanilla scent.

The Lipsticks

Runaway Red, Prince Noir, Secret Lover

Runaway Red is a blue base medium red lipstick with a hint of fuschia if your eyes can catch it in the photo. The colour is intense even with one layer but with two layer it's pretty much opaque. Its satin finish gives it that bit of creamy look.

Prince Noir is a deep burgundy with red undertones. What can I say, it's dark. I probably wouldn't wear this ever so often, perhaps for a statement lip. That said, it can be toned down with some gloss. This is a matte finish.

Secret Lover more along the lines of barely there with loads of fine gold shimmer. I suppose the lustre finish says it all. Great to mix and tone down brighter or darker shades.

The Lipglasses

Good Times is a light pink mauve. It appears a creamy nude pink on my lips and despite applying two layers, does not appear to cover my lip colour. Still clearly visible. Great for mixing and toning down brighter or darker shades.

Illicit is a light peach beige with micro shimmer. It appears a creamy nude beige on my lips and just as Good Times, despite applying two layers, does not cover my lip colour. I suppose I could use this if I'm going for a nude look. Otherwise i'll be mixing and toning down with this one. I found this one to settle a lot quicker on my lips compared to Good Times.

Waiting in Anticipation - H&M in KL!

One of my fave T's from H&M. The graphic is artsy with a hint of freakish. Plus it's so comfy. I got this one from the H&M store on Oxford Street, London. Brings back memories when I used to drop by H&M every week to see whats new and end up buying too many things. Lol. But soon enough I don't have to go so far to get some really cool stuff. H&M is finally coming to KL!! *throws confetti & jumps around like a looney*

With the rumour starting way back in 2009, I heard H&M is making its way to Malaysia some time in Autumn 2012! Hinting that its first store could be in a mall along Jalan Bukit Bintang, Suria KLCC or Mid Valley Mega Mall, this news is simply brilliant.

Though I have a feeling it could be a mall along Jalan Bukit Bintang since they are looking for a store that could be between 10,000 to 30,000 sq feet. Hmm.. that sounds like the size of where Debenhams is currently located at Lot 10. Debenhams is moving out to Starhill Gallery after all. *smiless*

This Just In - Sparkle Nightshade

Sorry for going on silent mode for the past week or so. One of my cats have been really sick and I can't seem to focus on blogging. His blood test result comes out tomorrow and fingers crossed it's encouraging news. *prays hard*

My day got a bit brighter when I received these Sparkle Nightshade Converse as a long awaited very belated birthday present this morning, one of many, from darr-ling brother. *smiles* I really wanted these ones, the purple sequins are just fab but since the Malaysian stores don't carry it, he brought it back from Melbourne. Completely adore them! Thanks x infinity you!! *big huge hugzz*

Not that I had a tiny bit of mustard shade on me but I've been keeping my eyes out for a pair of mustard shoes. Found a pair recently but I guess it wasn't meant to be because the size ran out. *sigh*

I was out for dinner when I spotted a lovely shade of mustard walk by me. Sadly it was neither a pair of ballet flats nor was it a pair of pumps, it was a pair of Limited Edition Quicksilver casual trainers. Yes, it was on a guy. A cute one too. *winks*

Crosswires - MAC Cremesheen

For you guys celebrating the Chinese New Year, may the year of the Dragon be an awesome one!

So.. I have been contemplating on getting another lippie from MAC. It was between Crosswires or Vegas Volt. But for some strange reason Vegas Volt isn't available in Malaysia, so I decided to put that one on hold. Recently Crosswires found its way to me *rejoice*. It isn't exactly a new colour and is part of the permanent line.

MAC Cremesheen in Crosswires is a pretty shade of coral pink. Since it's a cremesheen formula like Lickable *fave* it's rich, well pigmented and leaves a soft sheen on the lips. Though I would still suggest applying a light layer of lip balm before. I lurv how it has that look-at-me vibe yet still appears rather subdued. Plus it's great for the coming Spring. At times like this I prefer to conveniently ignore the fact that I'm living in a country with only that one season. Lol! This is also one of those lippies which would look great on most skin tones.

For a very soft look with Crosswires I just dab it on my lips and smudge it out with my finger, comes out a stained look. Pretty without trying too hard. For a splash of colour I apply two layers of it, with a brush for a perfect lip line. Still pretty but a tad more daring. Great staying power too. Lurv it!

Spring Blossoms at Berjaya Times Square

Clinique Almost Lipstick - So Sheer, So Fresh

The much lurved Black Honey will not be flying solo any longer. Clinique has come up with seven new shades to Almost Lipstick. Like the original Black Honey, it's sheer and compliments most if not all skin tones. It ranges from nudes, pinks, violets and reds. It will no doubt be on everyone's must have list.

This sheer formula allows it to merge with the unique, natural tone of your lips to create a look that's all your own. This emoillent-rich 'not quite a gloss, not quite a lipstick' glides on for easy layering.

The new lovely colours of Almost Lipstick is great for the coming Spring/Summer which means in sunny Malaysia, we can wear it all year round. Woohooo!! The shade I have is Luscious Honey which is a rich sheer red. I wouldn't normally put rich and sheer in the same descriptive sentence but it's the best way to decribe Luscious Honey on my lips. Oh so luscious! :P

It comes in a slim metal tube that is easily slipped into your jeans pocket if you decide to go bag-free for the afternoon. Swatched once, it's a light sheer red and as you can see after three layers the colour gets a tad deeper. It has great colour pay off for a sheer lippie.

It glides on with ease like butter on a hot waffle as I apply it. I'm feeling a bit peckish at the moment which explains the food comparison. I have seen this shade on lighter lips and it looks a light sheer red but on mine it turns a deeper shade of sheer red. It enhances my natural lip color and it looks fresh.

I lurv how it moisturises my lips for the longest time without me having to fumble around for my lip balm. Though the colour comes off after I munch on stuff but there tends to be a hint of Luscious Honey still lingering on my lips.

Get The Look: Emma Watson for Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose

I wanted to show you guys the colours Irene, Lancome's makeup artist used on me to get the Emma Watson look in Tresor Midnight Rose promo shots. I lurved how the focus was on the eyes. It looks sexy and sultry!

The two palettes used for the eyes are Secrets De Rose and Rose De Bonheur.The purples from Secrets De Rose reminds me of the ones from the Ultra-Lavande Warm Harmony Palette from Spring last year (Read here). Beautiful shades!

First apply the light purple shade from Secrets De Rose to the entire lid. Then take the dark purple from Secrets De Rose and apply it to the outer corner of the eyes. Blend. To get the purples to pop out more apply the brownish maroon from Rose De Bonhuer into the crease and blend. You will instantly see the colour look more intense.

Next line eyes with a liquid liner, used here is Lancome Artliner. Wait for it to dry then apply a khol liner in black to the lower waterline. Smudge a thin line of the dark purple from Secrets De Rose to the lower lash line.

To complete the eyes, Zamri, Lancome Malaysia's head makeup artist previewed the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara. It can either be applied the normal way you apply a mascara or to get the "Doll Eyes" effect, Zamri used a technique unique to the Doll Eyes mascara brush to fan out the lashes. Instantly Kawaii!! Apply to upper and lower lash with two generous coats.

Since the focus is on the eyes, Irene applied Blush Subtil Rose in Rose Rose ever so lightly on my cheeks for a hint of colour. With a slick of L'Absolu Creme De Brilliance in 230, a pinkish beige shade, the Emma Watson look is complete!

With those eyes and lashes I should have tried batting them sexily to see if I can get anything I wanted. Lol! Well, there you go a look ready for a romantic and mischievous night on the town.

MAC Opulash Optimum Black

The first brand new mascara out of the box for the brand new year, the latest from MAC - Opulash Optimum Black. It contains a blend of silica plates of Mica and natural Kaolin which helps curl, give extra volume and lengthens. It also claims to last 15 hours! How's that for a challenge.

Launched in September last year, this new mascara is an intense black compared to the Opulash. I haven't tried the Opulash so I can't really compare the shades of black. So I compared it to one of my current black mascaras and it does appear to be a darker black. This mascara is also water resistant but can be easily removed with warm water. Curious that one is.

Optimum Black vs Normal Black

It comes in a sleek metal-like tube with a jumbo brush that made me cringe at the sight of it. The first thought that came to mind was how in the world am I going to get the mascara to the lashes at the corner of my eyes. And so the experiment began. No doubt that with such a huge brush and dense bristles, it's able to hold more product thereby evenly coating each lash while separating it. Which is great because clumping bits just don't look sexy.

Applying it to the middle of my eyes was easy but getting into the corners were impossible, not even with brush tip. I had to use a smaller mascara wand applicator to get it there.

Opulash Jumbo Brush vs One of my current mascara brush

With one coat my lashes look more defined and longer. My lashes look more distinct and a tad longer after the second coat. Despite the fact that the word 'Volume' being printed on the box, the Opulash Optimum Black shows no sign of volumizing my lashes, only defines and slightly lengthens. As for a more intense black, I can't really see the difference on my lashes. Looks like the usual black to me.

Boasting a 15 hour staying power which I can't vouch for as I only had it on for 8 hours, it did stay on the whole 8 hours without smudging. As I don't normally curl my lashes I can't say if it holds a curl well. I find this mascara a tad disappointing as I was really look forward to head turning thick looking lashes. But I suppose it works well for an everyday mascara if you're not looking for any drama. Though I could get a drugstore brand for half the price that works the same way. Hope you guys fare better with this one.

One of the coolest things a chocolate freak could recieve in the post is an invitation made out of chocolate. Since we're in sunny humid Malaysia that's never going to happen unless it gets couriered over straight to your hands in an ice box, else you might be receiving an unattractive puddle of chocolate. So what's the next best thing, an invitation with a bottle of chocolates attached! *big smiles*

Made my day when I recieved a bottle of chocolates specifically picked out to represent the product that will be introduced here very soon. It's Clinique's Even Better Makeup that treats and prevents skin discolouration. Now tell me that doesn't intrigue you. The spotted chocolate represents the skin condition before whereas the smooth white chocolate represents what the skin will look like after continued use. Brilliantly thought of and I'm liking the sound of it. Will have more info for you guys real soon.

Now what could I possible do with a bottle of choccies? Well unscrew the bottle and enjoy them while typing this post. *chomp chomps* Like I said, one of the coolest!

My first post for the new year and I've decided to keep it short and sweet. Also because I'm suffering from post holiday episodes. No more Coffee Bean Virginia Brownies til Christmas comes round again! Which means no more Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte either! That's just torture! *sobs*

I took some time to plan out the months ahead over a strong glass of mocha yesterday. Planning includes which new makeup stuff shall I get, what fashion trends to follow, which new bag to lust for and all that jazz. Lol! I'm lurving the soft pastels and prints overload for Spring Summer. Looks like it's going to be an exciting one.

On nails: Sephora It-Girl

I finally took out a brand new mascara out of the box as well and decided to take it for a ride. I was expecting amazingness in a tube but it was rather disappointing. Featured in the photo is MAC's Opulash Mascara Optimum Black. I'll be reviewing this soon, so keep a look out for it. ^^

Goodbye 2011!!!

At the end of last year I wished for a great 2011. Now at the end of it, I realised I've had a brilliant one! Loads of unexpected surprises that I am so thankful for. I hope 2012 will be beyond awesome filled with even more wonderous adventures. *fingers crossed* I will start posting again next week, sorry for being MIA. :)

Urban Decay Holiday 2011 Nail Kit

Merry Christmas!!

Hope you guys are having a wonderful Christmas so far. This was suppose to be posted up earlier but I was tied up with work. But it's never too late to get this Nail Kit. The colours are smashing! Party on til New Years! ^^

Urban Decay Holiday 2011 does jewel tones which is big this season. Some fashion lables are even carrying jewel tones into Spring Summer, which means you have loads of time to finish these miniature sized bottles. This season nail kit features six colours and are heavy on the shimmer. The six rich shades are Barlust, Mars, Ziggy, Gunmetal, Wrecked and Hot Mess.

Barlust

A rich brown dominated by gold shimmer which makes it look bronzey. Two coats was more than enough for full opacity. This is my fave out of the six!

Mars

An emerald green packed with fine silver shimmer. Stays true to the beautiful jewel tone. Opaque in two coats with a smooth finish.

Ziggy

Suspended in a clear base, Ziggy is dense with sparkles. With a lot more gold, it also has pink, blue and silver sparkles. It was unbelievably opaque in two coats. I had no problems getting the sparkles out.

Gunmetal

A deep grey with fine silver shimmer. Though it appears to have a light hint of brown in it. Great colour for an urban chic look.

Wrecked

A dark burgundy with brown undertones. This nail colour was a tad on the thin side making it appear streaky if not applied properly. But still a sexy colour.

Hot Mess

A bright fuschia packed with fuschia shimmer. I applied two coats for full coverage and it turned out a beautiful colour. It looked it had gold shimmer under the lights but I couldn't capture it in the photo.

As these were miniature-sized bottles, the mini brush needed a little getting used too. But it's easy to apply. Though it does take slightly longer to dry. I had Barlust on for about 6 days (with base and top coat) and I started noticing slight tip wear after 4 days. No chipping though, which is a plus point.

These mini nail colours are great for gifts too. Give them as singles to add on to other gifts for Christmas or indulge and get yourself a set. The colours are gorgeous!

Finally a new fab dining place for me to try out without having to go all the way across town or crossover to another state. It's just 5 minutes away from my place. Woohoo!

Converting abandoned industrial warehouses into places of interest such as a museum, a fashion hub or a restaurant isn't exactly new. Which makes a restaurant designed to look as though it has been renovated to look like it was previously an industrial loft with a metroplitan twist, is such a cool idea. I simply lurv the concept! It has such a casual vibe to it which makes it cosy and welcoming. The front of the restaurant covered by high windows from floor to ceiling letting in natural light when you're dining there in the day is a refreshing change. Photos turn out wonderful as well!

Though they are currently working with a soft launch menu, which is really good, I expect they will have more exciting things planned soon. While waiting for my meal I sipped on still San Pellegrino and Iced Latte which was milky and smooth.

For starters I had the Cumin Smoked Prawn Salad with Mango, Pomelo topped off with dried shaved Bonito Flakes with Chili Dressing (RM31). Very oriental. Fresh juicy prawns and generous with it. The Chili dressing added an exciting zing to the sweet mango cubes and fresh greens. The pomelo however was somewhat missing.

Since I felt rather lamb-ish, I ordered the Grilled Marinated Lamb Shoulder with ABC Kicap Chili Marinade, Peas and hand-cut Fries (RM 37). If the salad with chili dressing didn't get your appetite going, the smell as the lamb shoulder gets to the table will. The lamb shoulder was just oozing flavour. Every bite was tender, juicy and delicious!

And for dessert, if the choice of cake was that much for a soft launch menu, I can't wait for the full menu. There were over a dozen choices and I had a tough time deciding. But I just couldn't take my eyes off the Christmas Log. It's Christmas soon, can you blame me. Plus it was a chocolate icing and not the buttercream type. Made from rich Swiss Chocolate this log is hands down the best I've had this season!! The chocolate sponge was moist and needless to say the chocolate filling was gorgeously velvety and creamy. ♥

Don't think I stopped there, my second cake of the meal was the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cake. This was a heavy one, but still so yummy. It was rich, moist and dense with a generous portion of halves and whole macadamias. Perhaps a drizzle of raspberry sauce could have made it a tad more exciting. Just a thought.

I'm going back to try out the rest of the cakes and am looking forward to the full menu. The food is great and it's an awesome place to hang out! And it's so nearby. *smiles*

Christmas Log, Quiche and Oreos @ Cafe Chino, Hilton KL

I decided to drop by Cafe Chino at Hilton KL for tea yesterday since I was nearby. It felt very Christmasy with a fire place complete with stockings, reindeers adorning the stairs near the Cosmo Lounge and a super huge Santa Clause at the Coffee House. I just realised I should have taken photos. *smacks head*

I was peckish as lunch was a light quick one so I opted for something savoury before the sweeties. The Balsamic Vegetable Feta Cheese Quiche (RM22) was perfect to fill me up with room for cakes. The crust was light and flaky and the quiche was smooth. A tad more feta wouldn't hurt though.

And how could I not order the Christmas Log (RM16) when Christmas is just four days away. Moist chocolate sponge with rich dark chocolate cream filling encased in buttercream icing was my sinful chocolate fix of the day. *yumss*

I think the lil angel was calling out to me when I ordered the Oreo Cheesecake (RM16). Isn't she pretty. The cake on the other hand was just as "pretty". It was smooth with just the right amount of oreo to keep me wanting more. Of course that lasted until I polished off the cake then realised it was a bit much. Lol.

This reminds me I have to get more Virginia Brownies from Coffee Bean before Christmas. It's already Wednesday, gosh I have to be quick!

Sephora Oh My Chérie Nail Polish Set

There are loads of products and sets under Sephora's Oh My Chérie Collection. Not exactly sure if all will be availble in Sephora KL. Remember my recent write up on Oh My Cherie Manicure Set, well here's the Oh My Cherie Nail Polish set to compliment it. It comes in a set of 5 (5x5ml). The colours are Mirror Mirror, Tropical Fuchsia, Cherry Popsicle, It-Girl and Oh, My Chérie!

Mirror Mirror, Cherry Popsicle and It-Girl can be found from the current range. While Oh My Chérie and Tropical Fuchsia are exclusive to this set.

What I like most about Sephora nail polish is the brush. It's flat, wide with a rounded tip making it super easy and less messy to apply. It dries really fast as well. I was well surprised when the first coat only took less than a minute to completely dry. It has good consistency and for all five colours, they were opaque in 2 coats.

I've had Tropical Fuschia on for about 7 days now (with base and top coat) and I started noticing slight wear at the tips after 4 days. 7 days later there's noticeable wear at the tip with tiny bits chipping off. Then again with work, chores and loads of typing colours usually last no more than a week on my nails.

Mirror Mirror is a molten glittery silver. It's actually super super glittery! After 2 coats of it, there was glitter all around the nails, quite difficult to clean it off. It does the high sparkle effect though.

Tropical Fuchsia is a bright bold pink which reminds me a lot of my fave lip colour from MAC.

Cherry Popsicle is a rich cool red which was very flattering on my skin tone!

It-Girl is a deep blood red which is pretty much a classic shade.

Oh My Chérie, named after the collection is a metallic purple which gave a very chic subtle feel.

Leopard Rocks! - Sephora Nail Patch Art

If you're like me and wished you could get your nails done in a flash then consider nail polish stickers. I've been eyeing this for the longest time but really wasn't sure if it were all that easy to do since I've read that it could be tricky and need some getting used to or it could even look too sticker-like. Since this fell in my lap recently I figured why not give it a go.

These nail patch comes in either single colours or with nail art at Sephora. To feed my feline ferocity these ones called Leopard Rocks! was spot on. The packaging says that it's 100% easy, trendy, shiny, zero drying time and long lasting. It has 2 strips of 8 adhesive nail stickers to fit all nail sizes.

It also comes with instructions in the package which is great for newbies like me. It's easy to follow. Photo below.

The adhesive smell when you remove from the pocket doesn't really bother me. I think the sticking on took longer than expected. Probably because it was my first time. It was fairly easy to apply. It sticks onto the nails really well. But you have to handle the stickers gently as it might tear. I found snipping off the excess was much easier than trying to tuck it in under the nails which didn't look very neat. The excess at the sides tears of easily. If your nails are short like mine, you can use the excess for other nails of similar size. It has to be done right after you snip it off so that it won't dry out.

These stickers with nail art don't look very sticker-like. In fact it looks like a nicely done nail art. I'm quite impressed with the outcome. In fact, I had random strangers asked me where I got my nails done. Lol!

The only downside is that I was expecting for these to last longer than my normal colour but slight wear and bits of chipping by the sides and at the tip started to show in just two days. *sigh* Perhaps I didn't stick them on very well. I'm definitely trying them out again! They remove like normail nail polish, just use a nail polish remover.

Only thing is I find it might be a tad pricey, RM35 for 2 strips of 16. But I suppose if I were in a rush and didn't want the mess of a nail colour, I would probably go for this. It's good fun especially the ones with nail art.

Remember to close the pocket with remaining strips with self adhesive strip. If not they'll just dry out.

Mascot Parade @ Berjaya Times Square This Christmas!

What is Christmas at Berjaya Times Square without a Mascot Parade especially since they just introduced Ooops the lovable she-bot. The Mascot Parade will be from November 2011 until February 2012 in conjunction with the festive season. It will be held during the weekends and public holidays. A brass band playing euphoric upbeat Samba music will be leading the energetic pack around the mall.

The parade will kick-off from Berjaya Times Square Theme Park’s main entrance on the 5th floor til the main entrance at Ground Floor. You are more then welcome to join in the parade. The more the merrier!

These irresistible mascots include Ooops, the newly launched mascot, Professor Cosmo and Oorts from Berjaya Times Square Theme Park, and others such as Chicky from KFC, Bar B Gon from Bar B Q Plaza, Barci from Nando’s, The Toto Bird from Sport’s Toto, Chipmunk from Marrybrown, Mr.Slice from Papa John’s and many more.

At the end of the parade and dance, you get to take photos with the mascots and it's not just for the kids!

There's loads of things happenning This Christmas @ Berjaya Times Square (BTS), from carolling, Santa and Mascot Parade, acrobat performance, face painting, live band and to top it all off the nationwide Malaysia Year End Sale from 15/11/11 to 1/01/12! Shopping!!

I was at a Bridal Fair over the weekend held at the Prince Hotel. No I'm not getting married, not this century at least. Lol! Well, I told myself I'd do the write up for it on Saturday night but it was next to impossible. But it's never to late to show you guys what Wedding Artists by Carven Ong has to offer. Lancôme Rénergie Yeux Multiple Lift

Lately I've noticed that my dark circles have been getting more challenging to cover up. I have even had to resort to a corrector underneath my concealer. It's pretty obvious my 5 hours sleep a night and hours of staring at the laptop/pc screen a day is getting the better of me.

I recently did a skin analysis at one of Lancôme's counters and though I will not mention the number but my skin age is not looking good, contributed 70% by the state of my dark circles. *moans* The analysis machine that Alan, Lancôme's resident skincare specialist used is the latest using the 'facial biometric' system. If it sounds like one of those fancy machines used in movies like Bourne Trilogy or Mission Impossible, well it's the same technology. And yes it was pretty cool! Though it didn't take one of my most flattering photos. *screams in horror*

The latest from Lancôme is a luxurious double-formula eye care simultaneously promotes 6 visible rejuvenating effects of two formulas which perfectly compliments one another - a firmer eye contour, eyelids which look 'lifted', minimised crow's feet, fine lines and wrinkles, diminished dark circles, a visibly more luminous eye contour and reduced under eye puffiness. Lancôme Renergie Yeux Multiple Lift is capable of promoting a visibly younger-looking appearance for the entire eye contour area.

The double-formula is housed in a single case which means you'll never bring one without the other. Pretty smart, leaving things behind is nothing new to me. The lower container holds the eye cream, it's rich yet delicate and offers intense hydration for the delicate skin of the eye contour. It gives the eyes a comfortable and nourished feeling, readying it for the illuminating treatment. The upper container holds a formula inspired by Asian BB creams. It has a light tinted texture which blends easily into the skin and adapts to skintones. It leaves behind an immaterial light that makes the eyes appear more luminous.

These two formulas have to be applied in a specific way in order to maximize the action. This massage ritual is inspired by lifting techniques which requires the eyes to be cared for in its entirety. It would be great if some one would do this for me everytime but that's usually an excuse to be lazy and not apply it at all. Lol! Apply Renergie Yeux Multiple Lift every morning to clean skin before applying make up.

Step 1

Take a small amount of cream, warm it up with your fingers and apply it to the eye contour following the 3 steps which follow. Start with the inner corner and smooth your fingers gently over the skin.

- Under the eye, smooth over any puffiness or dark circles.

- On the upper eyelid, inlcuding over the eybrow.

- From the outer corner of the eye up to the temple to smooth out crow's feet.

Repeat each movement three times.

Step 2

After applying the cream, apply the protective illuminating treatment with the fingertips over three specific areas - The inner corner of the eyes, Dark circles and puffiness and Below the brows. Carry out light, circular movements until the texture blends into the skin. You can apply concealer on top of the illuminating treatment.

Results will depend on your lifestyle ie enough sleep, not straining your eyes in front of the lappie too long etc. I'm taking on this challenge and starting tomorrow I will incorporate Renergie Yeux Multiple Lift into my daily skincare routine and attempt to get more sleep, though I may not be able to do anything with spending too much time in front of the lappie *sigh*. After 4 weeks I'll get my skin reanalysed, focusing on the eyes. I will also do another post with before and after photos. Hopefully you'll see my eyes looking less aged and dark circles less intense by then. Lol! *crosses fingers*

Unlike its other half Gucci Guilty Intense Pour Homme is an eau de toilette which is profoundly masculine and alluring. Seducing you with top notes of Italian lemon and invigorating lavender, undercut with a tang of coriander. The middle notes of orange flower and neroli entices even more. The patchouli that is the hallmark of Gucci fragrances reaches a new potency laced with the driest amber and a leather-rich sillage - robustly earthy, yet suggestively exotic.

The packaging features the signature interlocking Gs and it replicates its sleek fusion of metal and flint glass. However, the original’s muted metallic casing has been transformed into a richer, more opulent shade with a bolder and darker liquid.

I rather like the woman's fragrance. Though more intense than the original, it's not exactly overpowering. It's warm and sexy. As for the men's I think it's more on the softer side for some reason. But don't get me wrong, I still find it wildly seductive. Guys are you reading this?! Lol! *winks*

Anna Sui Autumn II 2011 Nail Colours

Anna Sui's latest Autumn II 2011 Nail Colours are perfect to complete the holiday/party look. It comes in Nail Colour N and Nail Art Colour N ranges. The bottle is just so adorable. It's dressed in a vintage ballgow with a fresh vibe.

The colours I have with me are the glitter ones from the Nail Art Colour N range. It is formulated with a resin that gives extra luster with a high gloss finish. It's quick drying formula is great. Each coat only took about 3 minutes to completely dry. I was actually doing my nails while typing and there was no smudging. Anna Sui has also made the nail colours environmentally and nail friendly - the base is free of toluene, DBP and formalin.

The fine glitter particles are suspended in a clear polish allowing you to be creative with it. Despite lurving colours on my nails I'm not much into nail art so what I did for this one was just wear it on its own and also layered it on my existing colour.

The glitter nail colour goes on smoothly though it was a bit of a challenge getting the glitter bits out. I eventually got the hang of it. Plus after 2 coats my nails looked all glitzy. As all Anna Sui nail colours it leaves that Anna Sui signature Tea Rose Scent. Just wait a few minutes for the varnish smell to go off then you get that light tea rose scent that lingers on your nails. It lasts for about 2-3 days unless you don't wash your hand much. lol. I applied Anna Sui Base Coat N before splashing my nails with the glitter nail colour.

Taking into account the work my hands go through daily, loads of typing, chores and a bunch of other things, wear at the tip began to show after about 4 days. But it's hardly noticeable since the base is clear after all.

Gold Glitter Nail Colour (802)

A mix of fine and slighty bigger round gold glitter suspended in clear base. This looks naturally glam on it's own. Like this!

Neon Mix Glitter Nail Colour (081)
A mix of red, silver and refelective fine pieces of glitter suspended in clear base. You know what this reminds me of.. rainbow sprinkles! Or maybe it's the dairy deprivation for the past few months that has made me think of ice cream and sprinkles. *sigh* Yummy nails!

Green Glitter Nail Colour (980)
Fine green glitter suspended in a clear base. As the glitter was really fine compared to the other two colours it was a tad difficult to get the desired coverage with only two coats. So I applied 3 coats so that it'll show in the photos.

Anna Sui Christmas 2011 - Masquerade Collection: Metallic Colour

It's the holiday season and it's time to dazzle. Anna Sui's Christmas 2011 Masquerade Collection will do just that. This collection brings you all the delicate details to complete you party look. If you're looking to make your eyes the centre of attention try Anna Sui's latest Metallic Colour. It comes in six sparkling shades to create gorgeous eyes and give a stunning effect.

I thought this metallic eye colour was a pretty fascinating idea. Instead of applying glitter on my eyelids only to have the excess fall off covering my face in glitter now it might actually stay on the lids. The colours I have are Metallic Blue (100), Metallic Yellow (800) and Metallic Purple (200). They also come with Anna Sui's signature tea rose scent. *sigh* Applying it is pretty easy because it comes with a fine brush tip which makes applying it as a liner doable just expect a thicker line instead of a thin one. I tried it out with the blue one, see photo below.

The glitter particles are fine with a light gel-like base. To get more glitter on the lids I find using a dabbing motion places the glitter onto the lids whereas applying it across gives a tinge of colour with slight glitter. Really depends on the effect you prefer. When it dries it feels comfortable on the lids not heavy making lids difficult to move, thanks to the flexible film in the formula.

The only gripe I have about it is that it takes quite a while to completely dry. It's alright when I applied a single layer but when I applied a few more layers to get that wow effect, I had to wait it out for a good while with my eyes closed because blinking causes it to crease when still wet. *sits in front of a fan* Removing it is really simple, just use a good eye makeup remover and clean in between lashes with a cotton bud to get those rogue glitter bits out.

The Colours

The Metallic Blue comes in a blue tinted base to accentuate the blue shimmer. On its own, the blue already had a great effect. So I decided to try this one out as a liner on top of blue eye colour. Turned out great don't you think. Then I thought I'd out it on the entire lid. *Showtime Baby!* So Burlesque and Moulin Rouge. My fave colour out of the three!

With Metallic Yellow which I thought was gold at first, comes in a clear base. Great for putting accents around the eyes. I tried applying it as a winged tip and it came out nice and glitzy. Well it really went with the gold top I was wearing at the time. ^^

Metallic Purple is purple shimmer in a purple tinted base. I found the purple one to have a softer effect. When I tried applying it on its own on my lids, the purple didn't really show, so I applied a light purple shadow as a base and the colour popped really nice.

The latest from Urban Decay is a two product range called Urbanbrow. Designed for you babes who want to spend less time on your brows, it consists of Urbanbrow Precision Tip Brow Tint and Urbanbrow Styling Brush and Setting Gel.

Urbanbrow Precision Tip Brow Tint

The first thought that came to mind when I saw this product was, "How Japanese-y". Rightly so this particular one is made in Japan. Similar to a marker but instead of a felt tip this Brow Tint has an ultra-fine brush tip for precision shaping. Color flows through the pen into the fine tip brush creating light, feathery, natural-looking strokes.

I usually prefer brow powder as it gives a more softer look but I found this one very easy to use and it gave me that polished look without looking like I have drawn on brows. It fills in those sparse bits, defines the arch and colour the brows with ease. Trying it out on my hand the colour came out light which I think is a good thing when doing the brows because an intense colour at first stroke could give a harsh effect. Think Genghis Khan brows, now that's scary. The intensity is buildable. It comes in what Urban Decays describes as "two universal shades" - Blonde and Brunette. Blonde works for blondes, red heads and light brown hairs. Brunette is more suited for medium, to dark brown hair all the way to black. Despite thinking that Blonde would look strange on me, I could actually carry it off for a soft look especially since I've recently coloured my hair to a warm chestnut.

I wore the Brunette Brow Tint for about 7 hours yesterday and it didn't budge or smudge despite my oily skin. I tried rubbing it off with my finger and it still didn't budge. Impressive. But when it came to taking it off, I had to hold a waterproof eye makeup remover soaked cotton on my brows for a good few seconds before it dissolved and came off unlike removing a brow powder or pencil. This formula is also waterproof.

However what I didn't expect from this product was the clumping bit at the tip of the brush after a few uses. I'm assuming excess product. It can be easily removed. It would be better without the clumping though.

Urbanbrow Styling Brush and Setting Gel

Inspired by the "hairspray on a tootbrush trick" this comes in really handy if your brows have a mind of its own. It's a clear gel which provides a lasting natural hold without feeling sticky or stiff. Plus it doesn't leave flakey bits after it dries unlike other similar products I've tried. Really looks like the brows are suffering from a dandruff problem.

The brush looks like a mini toothbrush. Applying this needs a little getting use to, it doesn't exactly combs through the brow like a spiral brush would. I suggest using a light hand so that you don't get too much gel on you brows.

This can be used on top of the Precision Tip Brow Tint or on its own for those lucky ones with perfect natural brows. This lasted as long as I didn't remove it with a make up remover.

Christmas comes early at The Body Shop. In fact it comes early every year the minute the Christmas range comes out. That's when I start shopping. *sings Jingle Bells*

In the spirit of Giving Joy, The Body Shop donated funds to their NGO partners at a cosy Christmas party for media and fans. These NGOs are constantly striving to make a difference in today's society. It is these organisations that are constantly putting themselves out there for the benefit of others, be it women's issues, children's rights and those sex worker, the migrant worker or the falsely accused.

The Woman Aids Organisation and Sisters In Islam received RM12,960 and RM12,830 respectively made possible through the sales generated from the Candles of Conscience. Tenaganita, PS the Children and Nur Salam (NGO partner working to Stop Child Sex Trafficking in Malaysia) each received RM12,524 through the sales of the Soft Hands, Kind Heart hand creams. A furthers RM11,205 was given to PT Foundation through the sales of condoms. Presenting the cheques was Datin Mina Cheah-Foong, MD of The Body Shop Malaysia.

Lancôme Holiday 2011: Kate Winslet Golden Hat Foundation

A celebrity with a heart! Lancôme has teamed up with one of its brand ambassador Kate Winslet to create a limited edition make up collection this holiday. Lancôme will be donating at least €15,000 of its sales profits to the "Golden Hat Foundation", a charitable foundation for autistic children created by Kate Winslet.

This non-profit organisation aims to better the lives of autistic children by removing or limiting the barreirs they face. Its mission is to teach autistic children how to communicate more clearly, as well as offer them education, job training, recreational activities adapted to their disabilities. Today autism affects over 67 million people worldwide.

In support of this, Lancôme Golden Hat Foundation Holiday 2011 Colour Collection will feature L'Absolu Rouge in a few shades, several nail polish in all-new shades and the star of the collection the Golden Hat Illuminating powder. All these products are embossed with the foundation's logo and the actress' signature.

From this collection I will be reviewing the limited edition L'Absolu Rouge so that after reading this you guys can drop by a Lancôme counter to show your support by getting something from this range. Glam up for a good cause! I'll be making a bee line too, been waiting to try out the illuminating powder coz it looks really pretty as all Lancôme's face powder and blush do.

The L'Absolu Rouge I have is in Rose Absolu (365). It comes in Lancôme's classic gold and black packaging with a magnetic closure and what makes it super cool is the logo and Kate Winslet signature on it! The colour look a pretty intense rose red when I twisted it out. Thinking the colour would be bold but instead it turned out sheer yet pigmented when applied.

What I lurv about this lippie is that it's super moisturising and glides across the lips effortlessly. It's so smooth and light even after I applied 3 layers of it for a more intense colour but it still appeared a soft rose shade. But I noticed in photos when taken with flash it appears a rich intense shade. I lurv the effect.

The first time I wore this was to the Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011 MIFA Gala as I thought the colour would go with my outfit pretty well. I had it on for a good 6 hours and not once did I rummage around in my bag full of tricks for my lip balm. Then I later found out that it's suppose to moisturise lips up to 8 hours after application as it's enriched with compounds such as the Moisture Locker Complex and cerimide which helps to preserve lips natural hydration. Great job at moisturising! Though the colour does come off when I started to munch on stuff but reapplying is a breeze.

The Golden Hat Foundation Holiday 2011 Colour Collection is available now at Lancôme counters. The L'Absolu Rouge lipstick retails at RM80. However I found out that the Golden Hat Illuminator will only be available as a PWP - RM80 with RM200 purchase of Lancôme products.

MIFW '11 Day 6: Inside The Quicksilver Roxy Show

Who's a Roxy fan?? Me! Me! *hands up* How can you not lurv Roxy, it's fun, colourful and so laidback. Quicksilver and Roxy hit the runway at Malaysia Fashion Week with their Spring Summer 2012 Collections and a very special Swimwear Collection from Roxy. *yayy!* This was on the same day as the MIFA Gala on a super hot afternoon.

Quicksilver Spring Summer 2012 includes a variety of boardshorts and walkshorts with floral and geometric prints and artwork by Quicksilver's very own athletes. For boardies, 4- way Stretched Diamond Dobby will once again be the core of the collection with Extreme Water Repellent Treatment and Quick Dry Material as added features which dries two times faster than the average boardshorts. You will also see plaid shirts, tees and crewneck sweatshirts with bold colours and prints. The "Mak Datin" sitting next to me at the MIFA Gala would've gone gaga over the shirtless almost ripped oiled torsos of the Quicksilver models. Lol!!

Roxy lovers will be so tempted with the swimwear collection that you'd want more than just one pair. *winks* Roxy's special swimwear collection features maillots/monokini, bikinis and tankinis with tiny floral prints and a bright colour palette. MIFW '11 Day 6: MIFA Gala

After what happened at the Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011 MIFA Gala, I've decided to rename it the "Who's Who" and "Who You Know" Gala. I'm pretty sure you can guess what I'm getting at right. Getting in was next to impossible even if you had an invitation or a media pass. But after patiently getting through the madness I finally got in. *Phewh* Missing Amir Luqman just wasn't an option.

The MIFA Gala included Dato' Tom Abang Saufi, PU3, Amir Luqman, Klutched, Sahara Jewel Art and Jovian Mandagie. Amir Luqman and Jovian Mandagie showcased their full collection at the MIFA Gala compared to the limited pieces at the BDA Gala earlier in the week. Klutched, Sahara Jewel Art and Jovian Mandagie were part of a Batik Is My Soul, collaboration the brainchild of Jovian Mandagie. Get ready for another photo overload.

Right after the finale by Jovian Mandagie, some guests started making their way out. What I couldn't let go was the fact that the MC, former Miss Universe Malaysia, Andrea Fonseka commented, "It's a bit rude isn't it" when she noticed what was going on. Well, how about turning people with invites away after waiting for ages or making people wait for way more than an hour for that matter, isn't THAT rude? Brainless much?

Overall, I personally favoured the Melium Gala for the blinged up evening, lurved how Ashley Isham flaunted his mind blowing collection and felt well excited getting to watch Amir Luqman's collection strut down the runway. Hopefully next year's Fashion Week will be better organised and more people will get to experience it and be apart of Malaysia International Fashion Week.

MIFW '11 Day 5: Melium Gala

The Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011 ends today. But yesterday evening's MIFA Gala left much to be desired for. I'll leave that for the MIFA Gala write up.

The Melium Gala on Friday was the glitziest and most glamorous of the weeks gala nights. If there was a Gala Night to be at, this one was it. Well it had to be, it's Farah Khan after all. Brands under the Melium Group which included Pucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Farah Khan previewed their Spring/Summer 2012 collections. Farah Khan also premiered her latest line FK apart from Asia Rocks and the current Farah Khan label.

Staying true to its bold colours and prints, Pucci showcased but a limited collection. Dresses designed to cling to the curves and colours for the woman who wants to get noticed.

Yves Saint Laurent

First thing I noticed was the daring red lips. Parisian much. For YSL, jewel tones will continue into Spring/Summer next year. No complaints there, I still can't get enough of jewel tones. From bits of ruffles, neatly cut dresses, palazzo pants and flowey blouses, if I had to choose a word for it, it would be elegant.

FK by Farah Khan

FK is a latest line by Farah Khan. A casual chic line which can easily bring you into the night. Dresses are either short or maxi, with playsuits and necklines of various types. Lacking of prints, colours are solid. Great to be worn alone or even layered.

Asia Rocks

Making a statement with phrases that could inspire. Sequined singlet dresses in a single colour, white, with phrases in black sequins starting off with 21 Rue Cambon, the address of Chanel's original boutique in Paris. Fave label or inspired by?

Farah Khan

Been waiting the whole evening for this! With the tagline "We dress the best girls in town" loads of Hollywood celebritied have been spotted in Farah Khan's signature sequined dresses. I simply adore them. Farah Khan has injected a bit more colour for Spring/Summer 2012 apart from the usual gold, silver and blacks. Dresses are a a perfect length to make the legs look oh so sexy. Teamed with shaggy fur vests (which I'm hoping is faux fur) the collection dazzled the runway in true Farah Khan style.
