Wishing I could have more of the Almond Friand with Salted Caramel from the Afternoon Tea I had at THIRTY8 Grand Hyatt KL. I had the sudden urge to paint hearts on my nails on Saturday. A tad late for Valentines but it just looked too pretty not to do it. Surprisingly it was a lot more simple than I thought it would be. How very un-rock chick of me. I really need to get back to dark colours soon!

So here's the 'bang'! I was feeling inspired last week despite the falling sky. No I didn't get flowers from a secret admirer. I checked my table, nothing there. Just mountains of files looking like they were ready to fall on me. *shredder please!*

What was different last week anyway? Well I realised I had been wearing The Body Shop's latest summer fragrance Love Etc... Sun Kiss everyday of last week. It could have been as a matter of convenience that it's the easiest to reach on my currently messy dressing table but I was glad it was my fragrance of the week.

It's so fresh and vibrant! I rather liked the original scent but I love this one loads more. So I figured instead of doing just another review on a fragrance, why not give my own interpretation of Love Etc... with an outfit that I think describes it best plus it's just more fun. I call it a "Photo Write Up". *moment of brilliance there :P*
Love Etc... Sun Kiss is a fruity-floral fragrance with a blend of jasmine and fresh nectarine notes. Created by Dominique Ropion who is a world renowned perfumer, it embodies everything FLIRTY, DARING and a dash of CHEEKY. No brainer why I was attracted to this one.

It is housed in a distinctively shaped bottle with an eye catchingly pretty ombre gradient in orange-pink with a gold top. The fragrance works really well with varying body tempratures, I'm indoors one minute then outdoors the next *you're hot and you're cold, you're yes then you're no.. Katy Perry anyone?*. Great staying power too.

The other two summer fragrances which are an exciting twist to the originals are White Musk Sun Glow and Dreams Sun Fresh. These are limited editions so if you fancy any or all of them you have to get them soon! Each Eau de Toilette retails at RM85 for 50ml and also comes in the body purée variant. Layer it! ;)

The Community Fair Trade alcohol comes from sugarcane organically grown in Ecuador. The oragnic farming methods used by the CADO co-operative help preserve the natural beauty and wildlife of the Cotopaxi provinces in the foothills of the Andes.

I just realised, who in the right mind would spray any sort of fragrance on themselves in a pool? Then again, there's always something strange happening when it comes to the Chocolate Cats. *wootsz*

Coming up: Something creamy and tinted. It's for the face. ^^

I attended the launch of Malaysia's first beauty box concept called Fabulous Finds on Saturday. It was a somewhat challenging afternoon but I expected nothing less. Since it was hot out as it usually is I decided to go with a pair of floral shorts I recently bought on a shopping trip with Traclyn. It reminds me of a pair out of Zara and Miss Sixty. I think it's adorable especially with the zippers and I just added on a pair of light tights for quirkiness. I also got my nails done at the launch/tea session. It's my first time having a nude colour on and I don't think I fancy it much. The red however is really pretty, it's the colour Jean got in her door gift at the session.

Just thought I'd share this with you guys, something unexpected happened over afternoon tea at the launch which I found socially unacceptable and it was addressed to me - "Since you are Malay, you must think all Chinese food taste good". Let me clarify something, I am fully capable of assessing whether food of any origin taste good or is just not fit for consumption. If it lacks taste or I feel it is of inferior quality I don't eat it. I always think it's best to stop and think before saying anything. Otherwise there's always that possiblity of strange statements like such coming up.

Will post more about Fabulous Finds some time this week and I have more plans for those cute shorts. :)

How I wish Malaysia had a slightly cooler climate so we could walk around with light coats and pretty scarves. *missing england*

MNG, Topshop, ZARA, Forever 21 (to name a few) and shops at Sungei Wang offers a range of choices in various styles, colours and fabrics. Those Korean ones with cotton floral print with lace combo and bits on sides are so cute. Accessorize carries such pretty silk selection. Scarves are just a great way to jazz up any outfit.

Most of them are reasonably priced. The cottons ones are usually between RM29.90 to RM59.90. What if I told you I found one similar to the ones you would find at the shops mentioned, at a fraction of the price. Have I gotten your attention yet.. *grins*

I got this for RM8! Where? At Jalan TAR (near Sogo). You can find a lot of nice and pretty stuff for a steal at the Bazaars along that road if you look carefully. Have always lurved that place.

Dress it up any way you want.. with a dragonfly brooch.. :)

It is a light cotton material in purplish blue with green and blue floral prints. A combination of the scarves from F21 and Accessorize - Purple, Floral & Bright ;). I shall wear this to a place with strong air-conditioning (to avoid sweating..), maybe Pavilion. It can get quite nippy if you spend long periods shopping there. Or is it just me? Not enough meat. Lol!
