This is my first time experiencing Burberry Beauty. Despite passing the counter at Isetan KLCC countless number of times I never seem to make a stop until yesterday. Okay so I didn’t really make a stop, I was invited for a one-on-one makeup session with Burberry Beauty’s make up artist, Adrian to check out Burberry Beauty Autumn/Winter 2012 colours.

Autumn/Winter 2012 reflects the mood of Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012 runway collection. Effortless elegance. The new shades are inspired by the English countryside. Just as I thought, the smudgey style eyes are just classically British.

This season is all about effortless smoky with rich velvety brown shades. The complexion is flawlessly matte with a soft focus velvet finish with gently contoured cheeks and natural dusky lips.

Liking the intensity to these glosses

The look starts of with a luminous base, Fresh Glow for a radiant youthful canvas. Then the new Velvet Foundation to achieve the soft velvety finish. Adrian chose shade 205 for my skin tone. He then finished off by lightly dusting Sheer Powder.

Now for the eyes. Apply Fresh Glow can onto the lids as a base. Smudge brown Eye Definer in Midnight Brown No. 02  onto the lids to get a more intense colour for the eye shadows. Next sweep Sheer Eyeshadow in Dark Sable No.23 onto the smudged eye definer. Then blend Mulberry No.23 into the crease to intensify the look. Light sweep Porcelain White No.25 onto the brow bone to highlight. Line upper and lower lashes with Midnight Brown. Lock in the colour on the lower lash line by applying Mulberry into the eye definer. The apply Effortless Macara in Midnight Black No.1. The reason why brown eye definer was use is to achieve a softer look compared to a black one.

For the cheeks sweep on an Earthy Blush. This is used more to contour than to get colour. Plus is doesn’t take attention away from the eyes.

On lips, I opted for Lip Cover in Sepia Pink No.32 instead of Mocha Glow No.31 which I found very curios. Mocha Brown is a completely brown shade. I suppose mixing it with Sepia think would have worked but on its own hmm.. that's a tough one. Add some gold gloss for a beautiful pout.

To finish off the look Adrian used Porcelain White No.25 to highlight my cheeks in a triangular motion then my nose bridge to draw attention to the centre of the face. Et voila, the Autumn/Winter 2012 look.

Let me just introduce to you guys a bit more about the new Burberry Beauty Velvet Foundation, a new addition to the Burberry Skin collection. It is long lasting with a matte, soft velvety finish. It offers medium coverage as you will notice from my complexion. It contains Wild Rose extract which moisturises and regenerates skin. The formula is also water-resistant. It comes in 8 shades.

The packaging is oh so fancy. It comes in a frosted bottle with a matte lid which reflects the foundation’s formula and finish. The Gunmetal lid features the iconic Burberry design.

Thank you Burberry Beauty Malaysia for having me over! :)

Introducing a product for amazing lashes. That's what I have been told, heard and seen on other people. Personally I have not tried any lash treatment products and I never really thought about it until I attended the bloggers session for the latest Talika Lipocils & Black when I saw Talika's rep from Hong Kong with crazy long lashes and she already had long lashes before she started using it. Ooo even longer lashes for lil ol' me perhaps? Tammy & Jean please don't hate me more. :P

Talika has specialised in lash growth since 1948 when they first launched their Eyelash Cream. 48 years later, it was repackaged Lipocils from a pot to a tube with a brush-through wand. In 2010 the formula changed and so did the name to Lipocils Expert, so as to include not only lash growth but also intensify natural lash pigmentation and to enhance curl. They didn't stop there because this year Talika introduces Lipocils & Black.

Talika Lipocils & Black is a two in one product which consists of treatment and mascara. Lipocils is made from natural botanical formula consisting of 12 plant extracts which includes nettle, hamamelis and apple. Didn't know that apples could give such results. It stimulates, protects and strengthens the lashes and further optimise their growth. The original formula has been enriched with photoprotective and anti-radical active ingredients that act directly on lash roots. Hence longer, stronger and more curled. You can see obvious results in 28 days.

The Mascara end is no ordinary mascara. It is made from an exclusive formula which stimulates keratin synthesis and lengthens lashes. It also instantly dresses lashes in a rich black colour.

Tammy @ Plusizekitten, a popular blogger shared her testimonial on that day after trying it for 28 days says she saw results. In her words "With Talika, there's hope now to have lashes as long and sexy as Fatin's. I'm not going to stop till then. Hate me please." Note that I did not edit or change what she said. How my name got there, I have no idea. *laughs*

I got a chance to try Lipocils and Black too but seriously I didn't expect results in just one application.

I'm curious to see how my lashes will look like after 28 days. By the way, this product is for all who want longer, darker thicker and lush lashes. Yes a review soon plus a quote that goes with it! :)

I found myself doing two reviews with this outfit shoot. Which means the photos from this shoot that took about 20 minutes will be featured in three separate posts. Outfit, hair, shoes all in one. This shoot must have been the fastest one yet. Perhaps I wasn't being too picky and vain. Talk about killing many birds with one stone. *phewh*

I am not sure why I haven't taken any photos with this red jumper. It's one of my faves and it's one of those pieces I have been wearing too often believe or not. Since the material is light and obviously sheer it's great for the weather. Especially if you have the sudden urge to layer when it's 26°C and raining out.

I wasn't too sure about those leggings at first, but now I'm soo happy I got them. It's like a washed out patchy leopard. *laughs* But I think it works great. Hmm.. might be starting a new obsession now - leggings!! *noooo...*

Last weekend I tried out L'Oréal Professionnel London Addixion Bouncy Wax which I thought worked great at defining and sculpting curls (for review click here). Over the span of last week and the weekend I experimented on how best to use the London Addixion Bubbles Souffle and Sprax Delight. Here's what I came up with, very simple styles but it really gives that "Oh so Fab!" effect. At least I think so. *laughs*

I found the name Bubbles Soufflé so dessert-ish. I'm not completely off tangent. What's soufflé-like about it is the texture, an aerated cream. Its fluffy aerated texture gives perfect volume for blow drying. The container feels light even with product in it. I used this on towel dried hair for blow drying and not only did my hair feel lighter than usual but it also had volume. Mind you I'm not really a pro at blow drying so when it turned out like it did I was surprised. In the first photo I used a tiny amount from the mid length down to separate sections on blow dried hair. Strength: Force 3.

Sprax Delight is a unique spray wax. The texture, liquid. Due to the texture, it's meant to be sprayed on towel dried hair before blow drying. The result - instant body with a lightweight wax hold. I used this one for the side low pony. After blow drying, I used a curling thong at the ends to get the wispy choppy look and the hold was great. It's light therefore allowing a more natural movement. Even when I let my hair down the choppy bits looked good. Amazingly enough the effect lasted for a whole two days on my hair. Strength: Force 3.

I love the fact that these products do not feel heavy on my hair. Neither do they leave unsightly residues, it washes off very easily. And if you are loads better at blow drying than I am, imagine what you can do with it. I will try other hair styles with it when I have a  bit more time and I will definitely be posting it on the blog. Perhaps a quiff next or a chignon. Don't I aspire to do much. :P

In the mean time here are more promo shots from the L'Oréal Professionnel London Addixion range as well as hair style how to's by Malcom Edwards.
