The Amber Chia Academy was launched on Tuesday!! After 12 years in the industry this is a move thats been waiting to happen.

Before I get into the details, I have to say that despite being heavily pregnant, Amber Chia looked radiantly beautiful in a red dress! :)

Speaking with much passion and excitement at the press conference, Amber Chia is thrilled that her dream has finally been realised. Together with Benjamin Toong ("Catwalk Guru") and Desmond Yoi ("Makeup Guru"), they are determined to share a wealth of experience and knowledge in an upbeat and creative style that will transform the way models model and reinvent the way makeup artists makeup.

The Amber Chia Academy offers 3 courses -
1) For you girls & guys who are 5' 8" and above and are interested in professional modelling then the Extreme Modelling course is for you. Students will be trained to become professional runway models and will also be ready for commercials and videography.

2) What about those who don't really want to pursue modelling as a career but is interested in grooming? Then Image Modelling is your choice. Students will be taught a lil bit of runway with emphasis on image enhancement, how to carry themselves in public or at an event and public speaking.

3) And for those who lurv creating works of art and want to push the boundaries when it comes to makeup, the academy offers a professional makeup course which could take between 1 week-6 months.

Future Plans?

Even before the launch, Amber Chia Academy has been offered a franchise.  An offer that's hard to resist, they are definitely thinking about it. There has also been talks on sponsoring a reality show around end of this year to early next year. Wait for it.

The launch was followed by a party for celebrities, members of the media and also specially invited guests. Spotted at the party were Dato Jimmy Choo, Dato Anna Lim, Daphne Iking, Dennis Lau, Gillian Hung, Ning Baizura, Daniel Tan, Jojo Goh, Kelly Jagan and more.

The party continued into the evening!

Sa Sa's 1st Bloggers' Tea Session

Sa Sa Malaysia is making it's way into social media with a bang! Or should I say with a tweet.. *winks*

Popular amongst not only Malaysian women but also men for being a "one stop cosmetics specialty store" with a variety of product range which includes skincare, makeup, fragrances, bath & body, hair care to name a few, Sa Sa Malaysia can now be found on it's blog site, facebook and tweeter accounts. This is to make it easier for customers to engage and communicate with Sa Sa about products, get beauty advice and solutions or even put in suggestions and do online purchases. It will definitely be a unique shopping experience!

So to help them spread the great news around, Sa Sa Malaysia got a bunch of bloggers together on Friday @ Delicious, Marc Residence for an afternoon of fun & tea!

The theme was PiNk! And everyone came in at least something pink. I had a pink hairband with wobbly butterflies on it. *I'm strange.. Yall should know that by now! :P* Bunch of bloggers + any event = My camera please!! Lol! It was great getting to meet the people behind Sa Sa Malaysia as well as other bloggers, not only beauty but lifestyle ones as well. And yeah there were guy bloggers around too. Guys are big on skincare and appearances these days. I call it Vanity! Lol!

After the introduction and ice breaking session, food was already waiting at the table. A combination of enticing appetizers & delectable desserts is a great way to make anyone happy! :)

Sa Sa also took the oppurtunity to introduce some of their latest and best selling products. Sa Sa's resident make up artist and trainer had a short demo using Cyber Colours latest releases. The outcome was fantastic!

I was part of Malaysia's 1st Biggest Human Smiley on Saturday!!

It's not like I woke up Saturday morning and decided, "I feel like being in a ginormous smiley today!" Lol! I was over at Bukit Bintang to check out the dance perfomances as part of The Big F&N Fun Fest. A few of the crews that were in 8TV's Showdown 2010 were there - Funky Fresh Family, Soul Krazy, Famous Crew, HMC Phlow and Wakaka. Sadly GBC weren't around, but spotted Juicy & Heat (now GBC, no longer BSB) showing off they're stuff on the platform!

The BatteryHeadz were there to entertain and accompany the Funky Fresh Family in one of their routines. Shazet (The Human Beat Box) was just phreaking cool!

I missed the ealier bands (Tilu, Yuna, Najwa) that played and the Rangsit University cheerleaders from Thailand though. :(

Back to the human smiley, it took about 45 mins for the huge smiley to fill up with people in black & yellow tshirts. But when it did, the aerial view was awesome! (It did kinda start to smell at one point of time. Tried to hold my breathe but gave up in fear of passing out! That would've been soo embarassing.) And then the Hope balloons were released simultaneously. The sky was filled with orange balloons floating off with messages attached to it.

For about a few minutes oranges balloons filled the sky at Bukit Bintang

After fulfilling my role as a speck of yellow, I wandered off to check out the F&N booths. They were giving out free F&N can drinks! This Fun Fest was not without goodieeess.. *winks*

Buy 2 bottles of 500ml F&N drinks for RM3 (which is really cheap!) then get a coupon to redeem a smiley tshirt. At the smiley tshirt booth you get to pick the accessories you want for your smiley and then get them ironed on. After that, get your picture taken with a message. Finally your picture will find its way to the F&N wall!
