There are loads more photos (not of me) at The Gardens, well worth it to have a look!

I really haven't been getting enough sleep lately. 4-5 hours of sleep on average a night has taken a toll on me. My under eye area looks like I have decided to paint it black permanently. Yes I have definitely nailed the goth look! My current concealer is just too light to cover the dark circles and I'm a bit wary of using a heavier concealer for fear that it may look cakey.

I was invited to try out Lancôme's latest release, UV Expert Bright Eyes SPF 50 PA +++ protecting & illuminating eye BB base. When I saw the "BB" abbreviation I nearly ran the other way. As you guys may have read in my previous posts, Blemish Balms and I just don't mix. But Zam, Lancôme's Color Design Artist/Trainer explained to me that this product is different from the stereotypical Blemish Balms.

This is Lancôme'ss first BB texture for the eye contour that gives you the beautifying "Blemish Balm" results. It instantly brightens and effectively conceals imperfections and dark circles.

There is not even a hint of my dark circles!

Must knows about UVEX Bright Eyes SPF 50:
  • SPF 50 protection for the eye area
  • Lightweight texture - One single drop is as light as a feather!
  • High-power
  • Mineral sunscreen
  • Optimal eye contour tolerance ie suited for sensitive eye area
Feather light

Texture is light and smooth

Easy to blend, there is hardly a thick white cast

My concern:
  • Dark circles
  • Dark spots
  • Signs of aging (a year older, can't blame me for worrying)
What UV Expert Bright Eyes  does:
  • Lightens the eye contour by camouflaging the dark circles and uneven tone of the eye contour
  • Help prevent brown spots from developing/surfacing on the eye contour - long term use
  •  Protect eye contour from pre-mature aging - long term use

Apply a small amount lightly onto under eye area
Zam's Tip: To ensure eye area does not appear white cast if at all after application, apply a tiny amount of your normal foundation over it for a softer natural look.

Apply a small amount of powder on top of the BB Base either with a brush or cotton pad to set it

Can you tell which side has been camouflaged? ;)

Both eyes done! (Ignore the eye bags) My eyes definitely look loads brighter instantly! Dark circles be gone! Woohoo!

How to apply

I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out. Pleasant surprise, it turned out great. Despite the lack of colour choice, with a tad bit of foundation it blended into my skin really well. Upon application it felt as though I didn't have any concealer on. It is that light! Here's what I liked most about it, you know how with heavy or thicker concealers, it tends to crease and you have those unsightly line under your eyes after a few hours, that does not happen with the UV Bright Eyes. Seriously, I was half expecting it to crease but 4 hours on it looked smooth. You just have to remember to apply a really small amount as it is meant to camouflage not give you full coverage plus blend well. Not only can you use it as part of your make-up regime, you can bring it along in your bag for touch ups when needed. Very handy.

Charm Bracelets!! Lurv them, can't get enough of them! PANDORA has gained so much popularity here that collecting charms is the latest carze. We have Habib Jewels Malaysia to thank for this! Pandora is a Danish brand which was establised in 1982 and has since grown internationally, so much so it is currently the second most popular jewelery brand in the world.

I was invited for the launch of PANDORA cum pampering session with SKII over the weekend. PANDORA had a fashion show to highlight its collection of beautifully crafted jewelery that captures life's unforgettable moments through gorgeous designs and fine quality.

With Datin Zaridah
Managing Director of PANDORA Malaysia

PANDORA's signature charm bracelet, part of 'Moments' Collection is a real charmer! :P There are over 700 beautiful hand-finished charms and it ranges from 14k gold, rustic oxidized silver, Murano glass and embedded with precious and semi precious gemstones. Instead of buying so many charm at one go which would cost quite a bit, collect it by piece and turn it into a 'storybook'. One for every special moment. Not only does it personalise your jewelery, you'll also get to celebrate that moment.

Trust me not only will women go crazy over Pandora, the men will too. Instead of the silver or gold bracelets, the leather straps will have a very stylish appeal to the guys. Just add a special charm to it and there you go he's tagged to be yours. *wink* (Datin Zaridah's son was wearing the leather straps on his wrist and it looked cool!)

These pretty and dainty charms starts from RM130 onwards. They also have a selection of earrings, rings and bracelets as well as other collections that are serious must haves too. Drop by PANDORA's concept store at Bangsar Village II, Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang and 1 Mont' Kiara with a kiosk at Pavilion KL. It is also available at HABIB showrooms in Ampang Point and KLCC.

I'm getting myself something pretty by end of the month! There goes my "Lets try not to buy so many things next month" campaign. *oh well...*

Back in Paris again except this time no hot chocs *sigh*. Okay I'm not really in Paris but sure wish I were. It was the official launch of three established names in French fashion, Morgan de Toi, Celio and Theirry Mugler in Pavilion. It was a week long of fashion shows for Spring/Summer 2011 collection and I attended the one with a 4D style which is somewhat the rage in Europe and US.

With a dress code of "Seductively Red" I went in a short empire waistline dress, leggings and my black strappy dancer heels. It looked a lot like a character that jumped out of Sucker Punch going for a party.

Morgan de Toi
The Spring/Summer 2011 collection had the themes Dolce Vita and Santa Fe. Dolce Vita takes its inspiration from the sixties with gingham prints and stripes. Prints and accessories complete the retro look. Santa Fe is very laid back Pocahontas style. The Liberty prints, fringes and scales adds to the feminine air.

Celio
Targeted for the guy that love to experiment inspired from the free campus feel. It includes bright coloured tshirts for hot summer days. Vintage takes on a relaxed feel with washed knits and worn cotton canvas. Checked shirts are preferred blues. Suits are dark with contrasting bold coloured shirts.

Thierry Mugler
This 'Haute Couture' brand combines elegance with simplicity. Loads of glamorous bling!

Bling varied from pendants, rings, watched and bracelets.
With Angie Kok the Managing Director

Though I thought for this one, perhaps for a more authentic 4D effect it would have been better off as a movie or with suitable lighting. But it was still fun to watch, I have to say that it saved loads of time for hair and make-up.

There were also prizes for Best Dressed male and female, although on the invite it was promised for 10, only 4 were given out - 2 girls & 2 guys. Funny thing was one of the girls who won best dressed wasn't even dressed in red, she was in BLUE! Now.. what happened there? *wonderss*

You can find Morgan de Toi, Celio & Thierry Mugler on Level 3 at Pavilion KL - Lots 3.50, 3.51 and 3.52.
