안녕하세요 (Annyeonghaseyo)! Hello from Korea!
Reintroducing to you Baviphat

I'm pretty sure you guys have heard or know of this Korean brand by now. Yeah it's the one with a huge photo of Beyonce under its name in Parkson outlets. After launching in Korea only 2 years ago, it now has 50 stores nationwide and the number is still growing. Their full store in Myeong-dong (Korea's trendiest shopping area) is really raking in sales. This Korean brand is slowly making its way into other Asian countries - Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and soon to open a store in Vietnam. They've been in Malaysia since late May 2010. Actually I did a short post on Baviphat and the Apple Jelly Lip Scrub (not forgetting my curls.. :P) a few months back. Read here.

Baviphat emphasises on Skin Care. According to Fiona, CEO of Baviphat, it is important to use the right products to cleanse and repair the skin. It focuses on long term use to achieve healthier and younger looking skin. *any one for looking years younger.. hands up*

The products uses only natural ingredients and organic formulations from fruits and plant extracts. Yeah I know what you're thinking.. it must come with a ridiculous price tag. But guess what here's something natural & organic at an affordable price! And the selling point for me is the super cute & stylish packaging! They either come in fruit-shaped containers or with pretty lables. *talk about being easyy.. lol*

Star Products

Baviphat has various types of masks and scrubs depending on your skin concern

Mango Brightening Mask! It's a "3 minute magic". It sold 1 million peices in Korea last year. Once applied, the mask will make microscopic oxygen bubbles to purify the skin by removing dirt clogged in the pores, immediately revealing brighter skin. It retails for RM49.90.

It's not really obvious in the photo but I could see my skin half a shade lighter after wipping off the mask

Must try products

(From Left - Right)
Black Head Goodbye Clean Wash, Two Times BB Deep Cleansing Oil, Mangosteen Skin Clear Peeling Toner

Black Head Goodbye Clean Wash (RM39.90) There's a cat on the bottle!! *Is it waving?? Lol* Just spray on cotton and apply it on your nose and after 10-15 minns, the black heads just comes out. Long- term use will help tighten and shrink pore size. *Curious if this could actually be in the runnnig to slove by black head issues*

Two Times BB Deep Cleansing Oil  (RM39.90)- Fiona uses this herself and she highly recommends this product. Its slightly watery in texture and it's not greasy . Simply massage for 1 min to dissolve make up and wipe off with tissue. It also gets rid of those dead skin cells. You'll feel very fresh right after. Follow up with cleansing foam. I'm pretty ok with double cleansing but it really depends on you.

Mangosteen Skin Clear Peeling Toner (RM45.90)- Good for removing dead skin cells. It has a very light texture.

Eye Creams

Dark Circle Eye Cream (Yellow tube: RM49.90) - You can see instant results. If you're wondering if I've tried it, the answer is no. But the promise of "instant results" always makes me hope that it really works. I'll you know if I see a difference if I decide to try out this product since my dar circle is making me look zombie-like.

BB Cream (L) & Primer Fix (R) (RM59.90)
BB Cream - It has a light texture with good coverage.
BB Primer Fix has a pearly finish and is great to brighten up the skin. It can be worn alone or under BB Cream.

Baviphat also has its range of makeup apart from the BB Cream. It comes in pretty packaging too!

This colour is very popular in Korea!
Now if I can only remember the name.. sorry guys, will update it when I remember..

Baviphat is currently having a promotion for their Masks & Scrubs.
Any 1 fruit mask + Any 1 Paprika essence = RM89.90 (NP RM129.80)

*Truthfully I have to say I'm not really happy with the photo Parkson chose of me. It's very unflattering. I'm sure there are others that look better. Gosh I've got photos of me taken with my camera on that day that looks way better! So disappointed with the results.. *sad*

I was one of the 20 shortlisted for Parkson’s first edition of The Style Journal – Christmas 2010 Edition photoshoot! The best part was I received the news on my birthday last week! *was jumping with joy! :p* Parkson gave me a birthday present, it was as if they knew!! *winks*

I was so excited on Saturday that I got to Parkson even before the shutters were up. Lol!  I could see the staff were just about to set up for the shoot through the shutters. Yeah I was peeping.. it kept me occupied while waiting.

9:45 am - I look sleep..

Soon as the shutters were up I met Joanne from Parkson at the United Colors of Benetton (UCB) counter and was swiftly whisked away to A Cut Above to get my hair done. Joanne explained the looked they were going for was Simple & Relaxed for both hair & makeup. Something different from my fave Rock Babe look.. ;)

They were still setting up the equipment

A familiar face! I met Desiree at the salon! (The sweet babe that helped me model some dresses for one of my posts last month).  I thought my hair was to be a bit straighter but I was soo pleased that the junior stylist defined my curls instead! Yay!! *lurv it when they do that..*

At the Salon with Desiree after our hair do session

I got to choose my top back at the UCB counter from their latest Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection. I spotted the green one I was admiring earlier with the pretty studded cat on the front and took it off the rail at lightning speed. *yeah yeah I know that sounded so kiasu.. lol*

I lurv the top!!

Makeup by RMK - it was all about the Autumn Brown 2010 A/W Collection. It's very natural & nude. Carley used the Deep Brown and Dark Brown Trio Eye Palette on me. Pale Gold Beige on my cheeks and Pale Beige on my lips. Since the Pale Beige shade made me look a bit sickly, it had to be topped off with a bit of gloss. Some gel liner and two coats of mascara later, I was ready to rock my photoshoot.

By this time Parkson's Ambassadors Kelly Jagan & Danny Lim,  winners of the Ford Models Malaysia 2009, were already around to help out the participants with posing and styling tips. Both Kelly & Danny gave me great suggestions on how to pose because half way through my session I was running out of ideas. *soo embarassing!*

Getting tips from Kelly :)

After about 20 minutes of sliding, kinda walking, attempting to look natural, trying to look cute, smiling too much, looking serious (this didn't work for too well.. lol), having fun and awkward pauses hoping to be inspired with more poses, my session was done. *phewh* Didn't realise I could feel so hungry after a 20 minute photoshoot..

Since my own camera had a mind of its own, it coutinued to click away..

As I was about to change my top, I found out that I get to keep it!! The green cat top was miine!! Together with the rest of my goodie bag I went off for lunch.

Thanx Parkson for an extremely exciting experience!! I had loads of fun with the photoshoot and its was wonderful to get to meet Kelly & Danny!!

*Parkson will be uploading the chosen photos of the 20 shortlisted participants for voting really soon. So check them out on Parkson's facebook and please vote for me! I will keep you guys updated.. *hugzzz*

Happy New Year!
Wishing You Guys An Amazing Year Ahead!

What a way to start the New Year 01/01/10! I found myself in front of Parkson KLCC with shutters still down at 9.45am with Miu. Noticed that  a crowd was growing at the Isetan Concourse entrance. Still contemplating whether I should get the Isetan Lucky Bags. I figured I'd redeem the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance sample first since that doesn't require me spending any money. Lucky for us Parkson opened the shutters at 9.55am. There I was walking swiftly behind Miu. Got our samples and quickly walked over to Isetan.

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Samples

There we were Miu, Kit with beautiful daughter Sofiah (*sorry ar, my hearing a bit something wrong*) & me in front of Isetan Ground Floor entrance. Strange that people were waiting at the floor below and there were only a few of us at G. Not complaining just puzzled. 10 sharp the shutters started to retract & Miu rolled up her jeans ready to leg it. Not even half way up we went down the shutters and RAN towards the escalators. I noticed the SAs at the cosmetic counters found it all too funny. That was the first time I've ran into Isetan shutters half up. Had I known I would've have worn trainers! Lol!

Miu was the 1st at the skincare & cosmetics table, me 2nd & Kitty right behind me. It was nuts! After that the line just got longer. In Miu's words "Grab the bill first decided whether you want it after". Good advice. ;p I succumbed to the excitement and got myself a Lucky Bag! It was worth it.

After the mad rush and dozens of lucky bags later, Miu, SexyMummy, Pigita & I went for a drink to check out the bags. I was missing a pair of earrings from Denni but I didn't really need it anyway. Since you can't really pick & choose whats in the lucky bag it's really just your luck what you get. Here's what I got in mine.

The Elle bag is worth RM229 with the tag still on.
Guess purse must be quite pricey too.
Gonna check out the price next week. ;p

Bits of everything.

Shoe vouchers for a bunch of shoes that I don't buy.
Oh well..

After our rest sesh you'd think that was it. Nooo! We ended up in Isetan again, with Pigita & Miu buying more lucky bags. Shopoholics.. you just can't stop them ;).

I had to leave by 3. Yes, 3pm! I was there for 5 hours 15 mins. The best part is I've been going to KLCC everyday this week. Again, nuts! I know..

Til next year's lucky bags.. Trainers on!
