Haven't really had much time for events lately.. my work-blog balance is currently out of sync, work has been taking up most my time. When I received the invitation to attend the GUESS Luxe launch at The Gardens recently, I had to go especially when I find out that my girls were going too. Thanks loads The Butterfly Project for the invite!

There's also a party coming up so keep an eye for that! :)

Okay I know I haven't exactly been posting regularly. It's just that I've been trying to finish up loads of work stuff before next week. Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011 is happening next week and it's going to be hectic!

I managed to have a proper sit down meal yesterday instead of the having a Subway on the go the past few days. It's a wonder I didn't choke at any point of time. It was a birthday meal so it had to be a sit down. No not mine, mine was way back in September. It was a friend's birthday so dinner was my treat.

The venue was San Francisco Steakhouse at KLCC. Before I go on about the food I realised I was wearing one of my new bracelets when I looked through the photos. It's the gold studded friendship bracelet I bought from Jeans Closet. I figured the light blue was a great contrast to my red knitted top. It can go pretty dressy too.

So for dinner we had the San Francisco Burger which is a classic beef burger topped with beef bacon slices and melted cheddar cheese. I'm not sure if the portion was tiny or it just looked tiny because the plate was extra large. Otherwise the beef was tender and juicy but was a tad on the well done side despite asking for a medium well. For RM22.90 it was alright but I felt they could have been more generous with the portion at the price.

Was munching one this while waiting for my food. Needless to say I was starving.

Since I've had a craving for something fishie I went for the obvious Fish and Chips. Would have lurved a good pub style one though. No chance of that happening so I'll take what I can get. The two fillets of fish were more than enough to fill me up. Well seasoned batter with fish still looking white and nice inside. The coleslaw was crunchie and wasn't drenched in mayo. Plus point. The tartar sauce wasn't something I really fancied. I'm a salt and vinegar kinda chic. *seriously missing pub style fish and chippies* RM26.90 for this dish.

For dessert I opted for the Chocolate Marble Cake drizzled with blueberry coulis. The layers of thick rich chocolate, sponge and cream was quite alright. I'm guessing it was freshly made coz the sponge was still moist. Would have preferred a raspberry coulis though. RM12.90 a slice.

I was well stuffed and sleepy after. Well back to meals on the go today. If you don't hear from me again this week, stay tuned for next week. It's going to be rocking awesome!! ^^

Have I professed my lurv for jewellery and accessories on my blog yet? But then again I seem to be in lurv with too many things that I've lost track. I hate to admit it but I'm running out of space to store them all and yet it's not going to stop me from getting new ones *evil laugh*. I found a new place to stalk and get jewellery and accessories from, it goes by the name of Jean's Closet. I'm guessing coz she's got loads of stuff in her closet. Lol!

Jean's Closet gets her jewellery and accessories from the UK. Personally handpicks them and at a very reasonable price too! This multi strand bracelet is my latest purchase along with a few other items that I will feature real soon. Check out Jean's Closet on facebook. I bet you'll find something you like. *winks*

I feel that a watch completes a look. Especially lurv statement watches or at least something that's not black or silver. As much as I'm into those with huges faces sadly it looks awkward on my tiny wrist. So I usually have to settle for one with a medium sized face. Tissot's latest range has some really nice big ones though. *sigh*

I was at the launch of the Tissot Seastar 1000 Automatic Collection recently and wow were there loads of people. Well actually the crowd was more for Tissot’s brand ambassador, Chinese actor, Huang Xiao Ming who was there to launch the collection! Cameras clicking everywhere and fans were trying to get his autograph. The one movie I know him from is Ip Man and he’s definitely a good looking guy with a great smile!

Back to Tissot's latest collection, it's all about merging style and performance. Not only does it look good, it has great underwater functionality.

Features:

  • Unidirectional bezel
  • A strap with a divers’ buckle and extensios
  • Super-LumiNova hands and markings
  • A helium valve to allow the watch to automatically depressurise

The Chronograph range feature:

  • Swiss Made automatic movement, Scratch resistant sapphire crystal
  • 316 Stainless steel case with black or blue PVD coating
  • Screw-crown, pushers and case back
  • Helium valve, Water resistant to 30 bar (300 m/1000 feet)
  • 316 Solid stainless steel bracelet with safety clasp and diver extension
  • Rubber strap with standard buckle
This new range has a large 48 mm case for a bold style statement and easy readability. With ten different models, you’re bound to find out that suits your style and taste. There is an option of a new blue, ocean-inspired PVD finish, a choice of black and white, blue or black and orange dials plus a selection of metal or rubber attachments. I would definitely go for the black and orange dial!!

Tissot's Other Collections

The Tissot Seastar 1000 Automatic collection is retailing at RM2450 onwards and is now available at all Tissot Boutiques in KLCC, Fahrenheit 88 , Mid Valley and One Utama.

530 am! Seriously?! My body clock was still so messed up. First thing on the "To Do List" was courier home "The Bag". A bit of background - The Mifa Paris Contest Prize included a YSL Muse 2 bag *smiles bigger than ever*. Datuk Farah Khan a renowned style icon and the President and Founder of The Melium Group, presented it to me in Paris. Like wow!! Only problem was it came in a box that was almost as big as my luggage. So I decided to post it home instead of lugging it around in my luggage with little possiblity of packing choccies and shopping bits in it.

Fabulously gorgeous!!
Thanx loads MIFA!! I'm lurving it to bits!! :)

Onwards to Bath. It was a quick trip coz Oni had to back in Bristol by 4 ish for work. So we walked around to see if anything had changed. Gave the Roman Baths a miss since I've already been in twice before.

Meet Oni, yeah the same one from the Lunch With a Tough Chick(en) post.. :P

Note the gloves..

Bath Cathedral

My tummy started to growl, hiss and everything in between. The cold winds really didn't help. Lunch! I was dying for fish & chips so we popped by All Bar One. Such a relief to be indoors. Why was it still so cold in March.

Mine - Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas
I want more of this.. *sigh*

Oni's - Grilled Chicken Burger with Salsa bits

With tummy filled, we decided to check out The Guildhall Market. Great place to hunt for bits and bobs. It's actually been there since the 16th century which would make it about 800 years now. Found a lovely antique brooch for a steal!

How Elvis would have looked like is he were a lion

Cute aren't they..

Pretty brooches!

Walked around some more..

Really big Cath Kidston! But apparently the one on Park Street @ Bristol had more bags..

Oni's phone alarm rang, which meant we had to start heading back to the train station. While Oni headed off to work, I decided to see whats going on in Bristol City Centre. Loads of fun times with a wonderful group of friends back then!

Hmm.. looking a bit dead coz there's a new shopping place down the road. Didn't take much photos anymore that day coz I found myself in H&M and Boots!! *evil laugh*

I was promised a yummy breakfast the next day at a place like no other, Oni's fave hang out. Yeah I was curious .. :)
