I was beyond excited when I received an invitation from ORIGINS to the 'Discover Our Origins' session. One of two bloggers by the way. Hoorah!! Feel so honoured.. :) My first experience with Origins was a few years back when I was recommended by a friend their Modern Friction which I was very happy with. At that point of time all I knew of Origins was that they use natural ingredients in their products, that's about it. Very minimal.

a map showing from which parts of the world the natural ingredients are sourced from. it crosses continents, amazing!
Linden Leaves - it boasts quality products made from natural ingredients packaged in beautiful recyclable packaging and it's from New Zealand. Introduction to this product was courtesy of Tammy from plusizekitten who invited me to theSkintopic's latest outlet in Pavilion to learn more about the brand.

The first thing I noticed is the pretty body oil on display. Inside the oil filled container is a small bunch of carefully placed dried flowers and various fruits. The flowers and fruits represents the ingredients and scent used in making that particular oil. It is made from organic rosehip and avocado oils blended with pure sweet almond and apricot kernel oils, enriched with vitamin E. It comes in four variants - Absolute Dreams, In Love Again, Memories and Pick Me Up.

Wishing you guys a wonderful Christmas filled with yummy treats! :)

This one is specially for you curly haired babes out there. Redken recently launched their latest range especially formulated for curly or curled/permed hair called Redken Curvaceous at Toyako Loft Salon.  Watching the TVC at the launch it seems to me that this range has potential to actually work on my hair. Which means I can wash my hair, use the styling products and go out of the house with curls in tact without turning into a frizz ball by noon. Imagine that, not having to spend 90 minutes sorting out the curls, excluding washing time, before being able to look presentable. *shakes head*

And so I was up to something.. I think you guys can already guess what it is. *winks* More on it soon. I have to sort out a few things plus a few posts before that. :)

Just when I thought I knew what the party was going to be like, The Body Shop managed to surprise me. It's a really wonderful concept this year "Do Good - Feel Good" by giving joy to others. That's what Christmas is all about. ♥

I expected Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme to be similar to the original one, an intense heady scent even without 'intense' to its name. Something spicy, musky perhaps even wild but the 'fine-tuned' Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme is nothing like that.

I was excited when I received an invitation from Kanebo Lunasol to learn more about their Purifying Makeup as well as an exclusive preview of the Spring 2013 Collection which I will do a separate post on later this month because I am not going to spoil the surprise. What made it that much more exciting was that it was very small group of maybe about 12 people at the session.

I wanted to put off writing this until I get more photos from Reebonz but I am just itching to say thank you. The Chocolate Cats x Reebonz Christmas Fête was yesterday and I had a fabulous time. It was a small party and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Well I hope they did. *wonders...*

Thank you to the awesome people at Reebonz Malaysia for throwing this wonderful Christmas Fête for Chocolate Cats blogger friends and readers. A huge thank you to these two gorgeous babes, Amanda and Syaza for organising everything. You babes are fantastic!

To friends and readers who took time off to attend this intimate affair - Jean, Doroshi, Ann, Sherry and Coreen, thank you so much for being able to make it! I hope you guys are loving your early Christmas gifts! :)

There will be more photos and a longer write up real soon. I have to go get ready for the JLo Dance Again World Tour Live in Malaysia 2012 this evening. Going for tea first though. Things can't happen without tea. *laughs*

Apart from ageing, all that expression your eyes show when you're laughing, smiling, squinting, blinking being sad and crying all affects the delicate eye area. The fine lines that were barely noticeable eventually become deeper line then wrinkles. It's inevitable.

Wouldn't you just like to smile and not have annoying lines hanging around. Well I would, especially since I seem to notice a lot more of those lines appearing. Though I do think I would need to seriously sort my out sleep deprivation issues first. In the mean time let see if the NEW Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream can kick start the de-ageing process. This latest eye product from Clinique is uniquely designed to help repair visible signs of aging around the entire eye area. Check out the video by Clinique as well talking all about women want when it comes to their eyes.

I would love to say I have a romantic story to tell to kick off this giveaway by but I don't. I'm not a romantic, I'm that pratical chick that says, "Don't buy flowers for me because it's a waste". I do though appreciate thoughtful or sweet gestures. Take me to a new to-die-for dessert place and I'll be yours forever. *laughs* I like the out of the blue smiley face or an "I miss you" text. That's all you're going to get out of me. :P

Lancôme Spring 2012 Collection  - Lancôme In Love, must be one of the prettiest ones I have seen yet. The colours, the prints, the packaging invokes the perfect Springtime air. Given that it does have that very young vibe to it but there is no way anyone can resist it. None other than Emma Watson fronting the campaign.

Tis the season to be jolly! As the title reads, Chocolate Cats is hosting a Christmas Party together with Reebonz Malaysia with the theme "Time To Dazzle" and I would like to invite 3 (three) readers to join me for an evening of fun.

There's a few I've fallen for a few but I'll show you guys which ones in the next post. Check out the photos below and more at www.reebonz.com. There's also a party coming up so keep an eye for that! :)

This Christmas season, some beauty brands forming the Beauty Zone at 1st Avenue are getting together to offer you a treat with products and services. Each brand will have their consultants at hand to advise and answer questions.

In conjuction with the launch of The Season to Dazzle, I was invited to a Bloggers Workshop at SUB International School of Beauty & Make Up. The outlet is not offers over 20 professional courses but also sells tools and kits from the SUB brand at the front of the shop. I really like the interior of the shop, it looks like New York industrial loft with a metropolitan twist. It has been the rage since last year here in KL. High glass door at the entrance, high stools and long make up table with Hollywood-style mirror with lights made it look as though you're stepping into a different environment.

It was a tough choice. In the end I narrowed it down to either the Sheer Eye Shadow in Mulberry (No.24) or the Lip Cover in Sepia Pink (No.32). Saying I wanted both was not an option (lol!!), so I opted for the lippie. I figured lippie was a more practical choice for me especially since it's a sensible neutral pink shade. As though I don't have enough lippies as it is. *sheepish smile*

wearing sepia pink

There are two shades of Lip Covers from the Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection - Sepia Pink and Mocha Brown. As I mentioned in my previous post I tried on Mocha Brown a completely brown shade, out of sheer curiosity and you know what, I couldn't carry it off to save my life. However I was told that Mocha Brown will most likely suit darker skin tones.

So I was left with Sepia Pink which is a deep pink and on my lips would appear like my lip colour only better. Yay for my choice! Shade aside, the lip cover comes in a very modern gun metal tube. On the cover are etchings of Burberry's iconic check details with the brand name on the tube. Very luxe! What I really like about the packaging is the soft magnetic closure, which means the cover will never accidentally come off *touch wood*. That's happened to me a number of times especially since I usually just chuck my lip colour of the day in my bag filled with 'rubbish'. Not only was the cover all so glam, the lippie itself has the Burberry iconic checks details embossed into it.

Sepia Pink lip cover is Burberry's answer to a soft satin lipstick. The texture is light due to the combination of nourishing oils and gel giving it intense moisture and long lasting colour. It also contains anti-aging ceramides for fuller lip definition.

The formula is great. It's creamy and I find that is moisturises my lips for as long as I have it on without having to apply a lip balm underneath. It glides on with ease. It almost covers my natural lip colour in just one layer. You can go for a soft look with one layer. But it looks great with a second layer, as the colour is bolder and shows loads better.

I would say it lasts for about 3 hours before going off. Due to its creamy texture it tends to leave a colour line on the lip line. I know we would normally just reapply on top of whatever's left. But here's tip for creamy formulas: Wipe off all traces of colour and reapply a fresh coat. You can also use your finger to apply it for a more natural colour.

This is a really nice shade for Autmun/Winter 2012. The only gripe I have is the hefty price tag for a lippie. But then again, there's no reason not splurge once in while especially since this is a perfect colour for the season.

Lip Cover in Sepia Pink retails at RM96 for 3.8gram.

Remember I did a post on Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection about 3 weeks back. Oh wow that's long? *laughs* You can read the post here. So I got the latest addition to the Burberry Skin line, the Burberry Velvet Foundation which was introduced together with the Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.

Christmas celebration has already kicked off at The Body Shop! I was with The Body Shop team when they were unpacking and arranging the Christmas goodies at the KLCC outlet and it instantly got me into the Christmas mood. Only 37 days away, it's time to start shopping. You don't want to miss out on the good stuff!

Clarins Multi-Active Eye Revive is a complete eye care which is able to provide triple action against premature signs of ageing, targeting the three major concerns of active Asian women which include the formations of eye wrinkles, appearance of dark circles and visible signs of eye fatigue.

Behold the Clarins Double Serum®! A new anti-ageing serum that gives twice the anti-ageing power. Now that's big! What's even more exciting is that this serum is made available in Asia first before its international debut next year.

Sunsilk recently held a Bloggers Tea Party in conjunction with two new range of products they just unveiled. Greeted with an exciting spread of treats, the afternoon started with a fun session of getting to know what ingredients are in the the new range and how they help nourish and protect the hair.

One of the many things I am a sucker for are sexy perfume ads. It's just visually enticing. The latest one that's oh so very hot, muy caliente, molto caldo, you get what I mean, is the relaunch campaign of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme and Pour Homme fragrances. Naturally I only get sent the not so hot or should I say 'safe' campaign shots but me being me I just had to google for more photos.

Dolce & Gabbance has chosen Laetitia Casta and Noah Mills to front the relaunch of their signature fragrances and I think it's a perfect match. Directed by Mario Testino it is set in Siciliy in village along La Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro. Check out the video, the backdrop is breathtaking.

"Love is like a flower which blossoms, undaunted when affectionately showered with unvarying care just as every spark of romance keeps love alive and exciting."

Sazzy Falak & Nazril Idrus for Enchanteur Love Range
I am suppose to be clearing my backlog today but who am I kidding, the most I can probably do is two posts and getting started is just so hard. It really is a lazy Sunday.  I came across Gucci Cruise Collection 2013 while googling stuff and gosh the collection is gorgeous!

Wearing Scholl's Destinee in Wine

When I hear Scholl I think specialist footwear, footwear that is designed for comfort or to correct a certain condition. Style however, not so much. I'm still not too sure whether I managed to make this pair I picked out from the Destinee range, less 'aunty'. So I came to a conclusion that if you are the type person that is concerned as to whether foot wear looks trendy and still want some sort of comfort, make sure your dressing is funky and stay away from anything too slouchy. It would help. A bit about Scholl before you guys read my review on that pair I'm wearing.

I was lusting over some serious bling at Suen Jewellers recently during their Bloggers Tea Party. How could I not especially with a brilliant neck piece costing over RM174,000 starring at me right in the face. As it is, I have been breaking my kitty bank ever so often to fund my endless shopping sprees, so I'm just going to continue lusting. *sighh*

Suen Jewellers named after the owner who used to be one half of The Carat Club, was founded in 2010. They carry their in house brand made and designed by their own designers at their onsite factory as well as a few other brands.

The highlight of the tea session was the introduction/launch of Le Rêve Jewellery first collection. We were informed that the collection arrived earlier in the day which made it that much more exciting being the first few people to lay eyes on such gorgeous pieces. Le Rêve literally means "The Dream" in French. Being a French brand, the design could either be delicate and fine or bold and exquisite. I find this first collection to be a mix of both.

The Body Shop Winter Trend / Christmas Collection 2012 is finally in town!! Woohoo!! I dropped by my usual outlet, yes it's KLCC, earlier to check it out.

"The special edition winter make up range will ensure you sparkle and shine all season long. Choose from Smoky Copper or Smoky Moonstone and become a burnished beauty or golden goddess."

There should be 8 pieces to this collection and most of them are already in. The only one I haven't seen is Dazzling Rocks - Golden Copper shimmer beads. This post will lack oomph if I didn't try out the colours right *grins*. So here's a simple look by Azza (my fave TBS make up artist, who is uh-mazing by the way) of TBS KLCC outlet using the Smoky Moonstone Palette and Rose Quartz on lips.

I had something completely different in mind to start the week but with the power outage today I thought it best to do a simple post. I have had some friends pestering me on why Chocolate Cats doesn't have its own facebook fan page. Some of you guys have actually asked me as well. My excuse, "I don't have enough time to manage two facebook accounts". Or it could just be that I'm lazy but obviously I finally gave in. So last week, I found some time to set it up and you know what, it does make sense to have a separate facebook fan page for the blog. Talk about being slow. *shakes head*

Here it is.. Yayy!! *throws confetti* Now I can share more photos and updates with you guys. So all you have to do is like Chocolate Cats Facebook Fan Page here.

No better way to celebrate Friday than to have a giveaway. Woohoo!! Remember I posted up my Burberry Beauty "Get The Look" post on the Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection a few days back? If you haven't managed to read about it then click here.

I am giving away 5 foundation sample packs of Velvet Foundation No. 205 which should last 5 days or perhaps a bit more depending on amount of use AND a complimentary makeover at the Burberry Beauty Counter at Isetan KLCC which expires on 30th November 2012 to 5 lucky readers.

I have never seen or heard of a dancing facial/massage until recently. Dancing facial/massage? Seriously? I was so amused when I witnessed what must be a the first ever dancing facial/massage around. However it's not one of those things you can see while getting a facial, I mean you can't possibly turn and look. I suppose the only way is to get it recorded. Then again, do the therapist really do 'The Dance'? *wonders*

Well AsterSpring recently launched this exciting new Signature Touch 'pre-step' to a facial or a treatment. Despite being newly introduced it has already managed to get fans among local celebs namley Jojo Struys, Atilia Haron, Mayjune Tan and Thanuja Ananthan.  They all agreed that a relaxing facial or treatment is essential to unwind and rejuvenate the skin and body especially when leading hectic lifestyles.
