My short beach/sea trip to Redang last week was a good break. Spent most of my time either in the water or bronzing myself, with food interludes. I practically grew up with Indonesian Food. So yeah I love it. There are however different ways of making a dish depending on which part of Indonesia a person is from. So the Indonesian Food Fair @ JP Teres, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur was a really good way to try some new dishes. It's currently on until 14th September.

Before trying out what the Indonesian Food Fair had to offer I was treated to an Indonesian Food Demonstration by master chefs from Grand Hyatt Jakarta - Chef Gatot Tristano and Pastry Chef Abraham Alex.

I swear this is so sweet!! Ok maybe the peonies got to me first. The suede in a fragrance however is something new for me but oddly enough it works. Introducing the latest, Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede fragrance... reminds me of walking through an English garden really.

Personally I fancy a pink base nude lip which gives a bit more colour to my lips instead of a beige based one. I think the Beyonce episode may have had something to do with it. But when I found this latest lippies I received from Burt's Bees from my 'Stuffs Corner' I figured why not try it out to see if the colour would show because the shades are on the light side.

The Lip Shine in Whisper is part of Burt's Bees new lip colour range where as the Tinted Lip Balm in Caramel Daisy is one of the latest shades. Read more about the new lip colour range here. Each can be worn alone or combined for a different effect.

The Tinted Lip Balm in Caramel Daisy has a very smooth texture and this particular shade showed only a very light hint of brown base pink. The colour shows a tiny bit more with two layers on my lips. It does  a a good job at moisturising. Have a feeling it will show more with someone with naturally lighter lips. The Lip Shine in Whisper is a super light pink with a non sticky texture. Again the colour doesn't really show on but I suppose works well with softening a brighter colour and/or adding shine. It's light and feels comfortable on my lips. Both lasts as long as I don't start munching or drinking.

I figured it's a good look to go with this Eid. Reapplying a bright shade is such a nuisance after all that eating since the eating fest continues through out the day. Looks like I've found a use for these neutral shades after all!

Why is this place so far?! I can't believe it took me so long to get to Butter + Beans at Seventeen. Technically I didn't, it's Nani who did. She's also the one who told me about this really nice place to have coffee and cakes. Now I completely love it!

Situated at some unexpected place in PJ, I would most probably get lost trying to get there on my own. It's this cozy place tucked between those old shop lots. The interior is this industrial style design, unfinished but just enough to turn into a coffee place. Only thing it's super narrow and only has a small table inside with a cement top counter by the window with two more tables outside. Yes, it's tiny. But a really nice place to just chill out.

For a small place, it has a pretty decent selection of cakes and pastries. With my round the clock choco-radar guess what I spotted first.. Valrhona Chocolate Croissant! Nani suggested the Cherry Butter Cake with Flower Essence. Since I'm not exactly a coffee person, it's always a mocha for me on non-hot chocolate days. Butter + Beans uses Coffex coffee from Australia. No complaints, that was a good mocha. The Valrhona Chocolate Croissant though had too little chocolate in it. Then again, at RM5 I suppose it couldn't have been a generous chunk. The Cherry Butter was wonderfully dense and buttery. Didn't taste the flower essence though.

More to try, so definitely going back. Nani, expect more Sunday brunch calls.. ;)

Clinique's famous Step 3 has been reformulated since it was first created in 1968, that's like 45 years ago and now promises to work on your skin loads better especially with the current environmental change and varied lifestyles. I found my current fave red at The Butterfly Project Massage Party held at Amante Nail Spa & Body Care's latest outlet in Sri Petaling. One of two questions - What does red have anything to do with a massage party? and/or Sri Petaling where? *laughs* Come on I wouldn't be strange if I didn't start off the post sounding ridiculous. 

Are you guys aware of the amount of chemicals and non-natural ingredients that goes into our fave make up products or make up in general? Of course you are, but we still keep using them anyway because that what we're used to or it's what everyone else is using.

Ever thought of giving your skin a break from all those chemicals? Well I have. I don't mean walking around town bare faced. It's crazy enough I go bare faced on the blog but the outside world.. never! Unless of course by some divine miracle I wake up tomorrow with shockingly clear skin that doesn't go all oily 20 minutes after washing. Never going to happen. I'm talking about mineral make up! There are quite a few around but not many are 100% mineral makeup.

I was super excited to be invited to an intimate bloggers session to get to know KISS Mineral Makeup (Keep It Safe & Simple), 100% pure minerals by the way, at Faceworks Clinic right before KLFW 2013. Hence why I couldn't put this up sooner. Sorry guys.. *guilty smile*

How can you not love the Lancôme x Alber Elbaz Lancôme Hypnôse Show collection. I love it to bits! This latest collaboration between Lancôme and the creative director of Maison Lanvin was much anticipated and is huge in Europe at the moment. I have to say I'm a tad disappointed that there hasn't been a  big launch for it here in Malaysia. Regardless, this post celebrates the Lancôme Show collection in all its glory. More photos here.

I wanted to post up these photos yesterday but gosh I was just too exhausted. Which means KLFW 2013 will continue on over the next week on Chocolate Cats. I promise you amazing photos from the shows. Amir Luqman was high on my list to watch for KLFW 2013. That was a no brainer. The best part about an Amir Luqman show is when she walks the runway. What's even more brilliant is when Amir Luqman opens for Amir Luqman!! I'm so in love with the evening wear collection.
