Exclusive Launch of Lancôme La Vie Est Belle EDP
There has been quite a
hype on the latest eau de parfum from Lancôme, La Vie Est Belle which means Life is
Beautiful. With Julia Roberts fronting the campaign, La Vie Est Belle, I love it
to bits!
There was a week long roadshow at Pavilion to launch this latest from Lancôme and on Saturday there was an exclusive launch together with the Capital FM Deejays - Asha Gill, Xandria Ooi, Joanna Kam, Deborah, Patricia, Priscilla, April and Liang. Not only did the charismatic deejays made it all so lively, it was loads of fun! I expected no less especially when Asha Gill was the one hosting the 'Lets Speak French' game. And wow, she's super tall!! There was a mix of Lancome and Capital FM fans at the cozy session and they were obviously enjoying themselves while experiencing the gorgeous scent of La Vie Est Belle.
If you haven't tried out this new fragrance yet, let me just share with you the story of Lancôme La Vie Est Bell. Developed by perfumers Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, it took three years and
5000 versions to achieve the final formula. The concept of this fragrance is
centered on the idea of natural and simple beauty, freedom from conventions and
the choice of once own vision of happiness. The fragrance is a kind of outlook
on life, inspired by joy, pleasure in small things.

Iris is the key ingredient
of the perfume surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart. The
composition’s opening provides fruity flavours of blackcurrant and pear, while
the base is warm, gourmand and powdery due to almond-like accords of tonka
bean, praline, patchouli and vanilla.
The initial sweet
fruity-floral scent gave way to a warm vanilla hint and I straight away knew
why I loved it. I have a thing for vanilla scents! Despite the deep scent, I
find it to be full of youthful exuberance. The slightly higher price tag is
completely justified by the amazing longevity. I spritz some in the morning and
it lasts the whole day. I got some on my hair one time when I was spraying and
it lasted for two days. That was a pleasant surprise.
The bottle if you notice has a 'U' when the liquid ends. It mimics a smile. You are meant to smile because life is beautiful and full of exuberance. Who better than Julia Roberts to represent this right, one of the celebs with a gorgeously infectious smile. It is actually a redesign
version of the classic Lancome bottle of 1949. It’s simple and youthful.
Lancôme La Vie Est Belle is now available at all Lancôme counters in variations of 30ml RM195, 50ml RM285 and 75ml for RM375.
