I'm not going to lie, I was a tad apprehensive about the whole oil based products on my face. I have had unpleasant experiences in the past but I decided to give this a go mainly because it is not mineral oils. The Body Shop Oils of Life range was introduced a few months back and it's a range that draws you to it when you are browsing in store just by looking all kinds of fancy. I mean, just look at the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil bottle. Feel like touching it don't you? Ok, before this sounds more weird than it already does, here's a bit of background.

It has been ages since I tried a new drugstore hair care product, only because I already have my drugstore go tos. So receiving this latest one from Pantene is a welcome change. The Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner is part of the Total Damage Care range. The new formula is targeted to smoothen 3 months of damage in 3 minutes, repairs hair damage deep within the core and reduces protein loss to prevent further damage.

Christmas has officially landed at The Body Shop! Don't tell me you guys haven't been waiting for it, because I definitely have. The limited edition Christmas gift sets have been in stores in Friday, so if you guys haven't seen it I have loads of photos from the press launch earlier. The Body Shop kicks off Christmas 2015 with the tagline "Feel So Good". Remember last year when The Body Shop partnered with War Child to fund a class or a child in war-torn countries? Shu Uemura never fails to come up with a lust-worthy Holiday collection. Get ready for Maison Kitsuné for Shu! This is the French fashion cool kid Maison Kitsuné ('kitsuné' means 'fox' in Japanese) first foray into beauty. Combining Shu Uemura's Japanese roots and Kitsune's French elegance, the limited edition range includes 21 makeup items and two haircare oils. The packaging features adorable pictograms reflecting East-meets-West inspiration, a dress and a kimono, a beret and straw hat, a croissant and a manju, a fluer-de-lis and a plum blossom, a coffee and a green tea. The fox also makes an appearance on the nail colour bottles and the brush handles.

 

It wasn't exactly the recently passed Saturday morning but it was give or take about three weeks back. I received an invitation to hang out with Kiehl's at their newly opened/renovated store at KLCC. I checked it out the first week it opened and thought, it looked really cool and fancy unlike any of the other Kiehl's store. That Saturday morning was more of experiencing the new store.

 

Have you guys been to the NARS KLCC Boutique yet? It's spacious and modern featuring sharp lines with luxuriously sleek design everything that Francois Nars and Fabien Baron, of New York design firm Baron & Baron wanted in a flagship store. Apart from the luxurious marble that surrounds the entry door and display windows, the stand out feature has to be six tv display at the back of the store which runs all things Nars, as well as the led display that adds character to the space. The boutique also has an eclectic mix of objects that have inspired Nars over the years (including films, books, and photographs), to be available for purchase and rotated quarterly.

I was looking forward to this and it was awesome! It was so satisfying completing a 12km bike ride, especially since it was for a good cause. As part of Estee Lauder Companies' 2015 Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign, it organised various outreach efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer in Malaysia and raised funds for charitable beneficiaries. Last year, a total of RM600,000 was raised to support Cancer Research Malaysia (formerly known as The Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation, CARIF), The National Cancer Society Malaysia, The College of Radiology Malaysia and The Breast Cancer Welfare association so they can further strengthen efforts on medical research, education, offer of free mammograms and support for survivors.

 

So I met Claudia Kim.. and she is gorgeous! All round super nice too. Claudia Kim is the current ambassador for Bobbi Brown Asia and is better known as her role Dr. Helen Cho in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Her photos started gracing the Bobbi Brown Malaysia stores a few month back and I thought she, 'Hey she's pretty!'. And you know what, when I saw her in real life she is so pretty with that complexion that we all wish we had. Luminous, glowing, flawless!

It went on despite the haze and it was for a good cause. The Body Shop Malaysia took to their bicycles for a ride about town on Saturday 21st September in conjunction with International Day of Peace, to well, cycle for Peace.

If the title hasn't already given it away, yes I'm talking about the up coming festive season, Christmas! It's never too early to plan for Christmas, be it parties, getaways and most important of all that meaningful something to give to those you hold most dear.

I don't usually do a favourites post, I think the only other one I have done was for end of last year. But since it's been a good month with things I have been loving, something different that I did and awesome people that I have been spending time with, I figured why not. So maybe there is something about Virgos and September that we feel like celebrating all month long or maybe that's just me because it has been all about cakes and desserts almost everyday this month. Oh yeah!

The Body Shop teamed up with Uber about two weekends ago to give their fans an awesome spa-on-the-go experience in conjunction with their latest launch, Spa Of The World range. I wish all my uber ride would include luxurious pamper products and a masseuse. The arm and neck massage was just what I needed on my birthday weekend. I'm still celebrating that birthday by the way with some of the new spa products from The Body Shop. September hasn't ended yet!
