Get super glossy lips for Summer with these new Urban Decay Revolution High-Colour Lipgloss. And I mean crazy glossy. Described as being high-coverage, ultra-pigmented, the formula lays down all the colour you crave in one coat. The Pigment Infusion System gives the formula its super creamy texture, high pigmentation and super colour dispersion. It's also laced with Hilurlip, which defines and hydrate lips while making them look plumper and fuller.
Urban Decay does single blush
shades for Summer 2015 and they have some pretty ones. The idea behind the Urban Decay
Afterglow 8-Hour Blush is to give that sexy lit-from-within glow that makes
people wonder if you spent the whole weekend in a secret love den. It's meant
to go sheer, yet buildable and give you that 8-hour long wear. It comes in 9
shades here ranging from mattes to shimmers, pink to mauve to red-range. It is
however missing Quiver a bright red, which is a shame really because it shows
such promise from swatches online.
Go sheer for Spring with the new Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick. It's the perfect formula for warmer or in this case hot weather without feeling heavy on the lips. Sheer Revolution uses a Pigment Infusion System giving it a super creamy texture, superior colour dispersion and extended wear. The formula is laced with Maxi-Lip which defines and hydrates lips while making them look plumper and fuller, with a blend of shea butter, jojoba, olive oil and babassu oils moisturise and condition, while vitamin C and vitamin E which provides a hit of antioxidants.
When it comes to
concealer I usually stick to the tried and tested because on most
days I have loads to cover up, from acne scars to dark circles, you
name it, I got it covered. The high-tech liquid formula of the Urban
Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer provides
buildable coverage with an invisible Naked Skin feel without settling
into lines.
I picked up the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Anti-Aging and Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray about a month back been using themsince. I decided to try the Urban Decay Primer Potion Anti-Aging after my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Orignal was nearly running out. The Original formula has been a staple in my makeup routine for a while now and I swear by it, eyeshadow stays put on my oily lids for 12 hours straight, no creasing.
If you have been waiting for this then it's coming to Sephora Starhill this Saturday 6th December at 10am!If you're not sure what I'm on about then, here's what's been buzzing about online amongst Urban Decay fans and beauty addicts - Naked On The Run. It's a limited edition all-in-one travel kit that comes loaded with everything you need for a complete Naked look. If you guys don't already know, which I'm sure a lot of you already do, Urban Decay Holiday 2014 Collection is already available at Sephora outlets. The highlight of the Holiday collection is of course the Vice 3 palette with 20 Never-Before-Seen shades - from an amazing soft black and a stunning burgundy to a rich, smoky red-black. Designed for you to experiment, the it ranges from matte, satin, sparkle and metallic finishes with velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability. The eye catching case is just super cool, it features a hypnotic new artwork in an abstract stripe design, embellished with a bright neon-green jeweled "Vice" icon to match the highly metallised green base, and it comes with a coordinating bag.
In conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of Pulp Fiction, Urban Decay's co founder decided to pay tribute to the cult movie by coming up with an Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Collection. The collection recreates Mrs Mia Wallace's dark edgy look. It includes an eye palette, blood red lipstick, lip pencil and Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. The limited edition palette has five shades in both matte and satin finishes and comes with a mirror, a blood-red double-ended brush and step-by-step instructions. Prices range from RM69 to RM119.
I tried Crush from this range and the colour is a show stopper. Urban Decay has come up with two new colours for the Super Saturated High Gloss, Lovechild and Apocalypse.
The formula is just fab! It applies like a dream. The colour is opaque, saturated, high impact and long lasting. This chubby pencil gives you a mega-watt shine and the colour stays on longer than with a lipstick or gloss.
The chubby pencil holds an ultra-creamy formula inside so there is no chance in this lippy going 'squish' or breaking like in a normal lippie case. Each 8mm pencil barrel is color-matched to its shade, making it a piece of cake to find in a messy piece.
I find the texture really creamy and it does a good job at moisturising my lips even without applying a lip balm first thanks to plant derivatives such as Phytosterol which promotes skin hydration and protects the delicate skin on lips. As for the colour Lovechild which is a pale pink hue, the colour looked really pretty when I swatched it. It didn't have the same effect when I applied it on my lips though but it did have a light glossy shine. The colour appeared pale. *sigh* So what I did was applied a very thin layer of foundation on my lips then applied Lovechild on top of it. Well the colour showed a lot better. I have seen this colour on fair skin girls and it comes out beautiful. I'm assuming their natural lip shade would be light as well. Hmm.. I think I prefer Crush on me. The colour stays on for quite a few hours even with bits of munching in between.

Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colours offers seven bright, fun colours in either creamy or metallic sparkle finishes. To sharpen a chubby pencil you would need a Grind House Sharpener. These are available exclusively at Sephora for RM72.

Lets see.. what can I say about this palette that hasn't already been said. Nothing much really. Lol. This palette has been lurved, raved about, not really fancied and everything in between. Regardless, I was over the moon when I got the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette courtesy of Junipers Journal. *screams*
I can't compare this to the Naked Palette because I don't own one. Which means you'll be getting a virgin Naked opinion with Naked 2. Doesn't that sound cheeky. :p
Naked 2 Palette features 12 pigment rich, taupe and grey beige neutral eyeshadows, including Five New shades. It consists of a stunning range of warm toned neutrals from pale and deep, to matte and sparkly. The shades apply like a dream, it's so smooth. Fall out depended on the shades, it's either minimal or non-existent and despite it being neutrals there are some beautiful bold shades. The tagline "Neutral Is Nothing But Boring" says it all. It also comes with a Lip Junkie Lipgloss and a dual-tipped Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush. Overall I think the quality of Naked 2 in really good and definitely worth the price.

The Naked 2 Shades
L-R : Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite
L-R : Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite
- Foxy - Cream bisque with matte finish. Requires some layering to get colour to show.
- Half Baked - Golden-bronze with shimmering finish
- Booty Call (New) - Shimmering cork
- Chopper - Copper shimmer with silver microglitter. There was a tiny bit of colour fall out with this shade.
- Tease (New) - Creamy pale brown with matte finish. The colour pay off was a tad disappointing. Picking up this shade was a tough one, it required a lot of layering to get the colour to show.
- Snake Bite (New) - Dark bronze shimmer with metallic base
L-R: Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout
L-R: Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout
- Suspect - Pale golden beige with shimmering finish
- Pistol (New) - Light gray-brown with shimmering finish
- Verve - Oyster with shimmering finish
- YDK - Cool bronze shimmer with metallic base. This shade was fine when I swatched it but experienced a tiny bit of drop out when I was applying it. Also noticed that it's easier to pick up this colour using my finger instead of a brush. Plus the colour shows better.
- Busted (New) - Deep brown with shimmering finish
- Blackout - Blackest black with matte finish
It comes in a no frills chic taupe tin casing which I like. It looks quite sturdy unless you decide to throw it around which is a big no no. For a size that carries twelve colours it's slim enough to slip it into your bag to carry around or travel with.
Lip Junkie Lipgloss is a sheer shimmery pinky neutral gloss. It's not sticky and applies smoothly with a light mint scent which I don't really mind. This shade of gloss can either be worn alone for a very natural look or layered on top of another colour.
Now lets talk about the double ended brush, the Shadow Brush is quite easy to work with though the Crease Brush was somewhat on the challenging side. There wasn't anything wrong with the brush, it was just on the big side for my tiny eyes. So I ended up using my own brush to blend with.
Playing With Colours
I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original and Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara for all the looks.
Look 1: Naked don't look so naked anymore.
Verve on entire lid + Pistol on the outer corner + Snake Bite in crease + Booty Call to highlight + Lip Junkie Lipgloss on lips
Look 2: Almost Nude
Half Baked on entire lid + Busted on the outer corner + Booty Call to highlight
Look 3: In Between
YDK on entire lid + Tease in crease + Foxy to highlight under the brow
Photos overload! Been using the Naked 2 ever so often since I got it!
I finally defaced the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! I have a whole post on Naked 2 and will be putting it up soon. Since I can already play around with the colours, I created the 'Not So Naked' look. Come on the palette isn't exactly boring despite the name.
My eye makeup skills still needs work but I'm learning. Its gotten better though. Lol. I used Verve on the entire lid, Pistol on the outer corner, Snake Bite in the crease and Booty Call to highlight. More on this look and other looks with the Naked 2 write up.
Running off to buy a certain newspaper now. *winks*
Merry Christmas!!
Hope you guys are having a wonderful Christmas so far. This was suppose to be posted up earlier but I was tied up with work. But it's never too late to get this Nail Kit. The colours are smashing! Party on til New Years! ^^
Urban Decay Holiday 2011 does jewel tones which is big this season. Some fashion lables are even carrying jewel tones into Spring Summer, which means you have loads of time to finish these miniature sized bottles. This season nail kit features six colours and are heavy on the shimmer. The six rich shades are Barlust, Mars, Ziggy, Gunmetal, Wrecked and Hot Mess.
Barlust
A rich brown dominated by gold shimmer which makes it look bronzey. Two coats was more than enough for full opacity. This is my fave out of the six!
Mars
An emerald green packed with fine silver shimmer. Stays true to the beautiful jewel tone. Opaque in two coats with a smooth finish.
Ziggy
Suspended in a clear base, Ziggy is dense with sparkles. With a lot more gold, it also has pink, blue and silver sparkles. It was unbelievably opaque in two coats. I had no problems getting the sparkles out.
Gunmetal
A deep grey with fine silver shimmer. Though it appears to have a light hint of brown in it. Great colour for an urban chic look.
Wrecked
A dark burgundy with brown undertones. This nail colour was a tad on the thin side making it appear streaky if not applied properly. But still a sexy colour.
Hot Mess
A bright fuschia packed with fuschia shimmer. I applied two coats for full coverage and it turned out a beautiful colour. It looked it had gold shimmer under the lights but I couldn't capture it in the photo.
As these were miniature-sized bottles, the mini brush needed a little getting used too. But it's easy to apply. Though it does take slightly longer to dry. I had Barlust on for about 6 days (with base and top coat) and I started noticing slight tip wear after 4 days. No chipping though, which is a plus point.
These mini nail colours are great for gifts too. Give them as singles to add on to other gifts for Christmas or indulge and get yourself a set. The colours are gorgeous!
