It was an early celebration of International Day of Peace with The Body Shop yesterday. The United Nations declared International Day of Peace on 21st September and is dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. The theme this year is Right of People to Peace.

In conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of Pulp Fiction, Urban Decay's co founder decided to pay tribute to the cult movie by coming up with an Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Collection. The collection recreates Mrs Mia Wallace's dark edgy look. It includes an eye palette, blood red lipstick, lip pencil and Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. The limited edition palette has five shades in both matte and satin finishes and comes with a mirror, a blood-red double-ended brush and step-by-step instructions. Prices range from RM69 to RM119.

Miko Galere opens it's first hair studio in collaboration with Kérastase recently, situated at the Beauty Hall, Pavilion Level 7. It's also the first hair salon in ASEAN that focuses on hair and scalp treatment. Miko Galere latest salon looks amazing somewhat fairytale-like. It's really a place where you would want to spend a whole day relaxing and getting pampered.

It has been a while since I've been this excited about foundation, more so a Clinique one. I always found Clinique foundations a bit too pink for my shade, so I was really surprised when I found a good match with the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup.

September has been pretty exciting so far. Although, I'm still trying to get use to my new hair length despite it being a month old. I also got my first ever rainbow cake thanks to Nani of Bakephoria, it has been chocolate all the way. Bakephoria uses only the best ingredients for their cakes. I'm sure some of you guys know by now that I'm a dessert snob, but Bakephoria's cakes are delicious. Check them out on Bakephoria Facebook page. My recommendation, the Chocolate Yoghurt Cake, it's amazing!

They are in stores! I sneak previewed the Bobbi Brown Sheer Brights Eye Shadows in June during Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014 backstage but couldn't swatch them. They have been swatched now. The Sheer Brights Eye Shadows collection is "A  modern take on colour - sheer washes on the eye" - Bobbi Brown.

Shu Uemura recently launched their Vision of Beauty Collection Vol.1 - Brave Beauty and what the Shu Uemura Atelier Malaysia team did with the colours was amazing. I kept reminding myself that I have to say something about the still new The Body Shop Body Sorbet which I first purchased a few months back. But once it found its place in the fridge I never got around to taking a photo of it. Don't get me wrong, not that I don't like it, I love it. I repurchased the Satsuma Body Sorbet during the Lisa Surihani Meet & Greet and made sure I took a photo of it first before the fridge got a hold of it.

I didn't think I was going to make it because I had attended a wedding in the morning but I was glad I made it in time, well more like as it was about to finish. I was at the The Body Shop KLCC yesterday for the Lisa Surihani Meet & Greet session yesterday and I finally got to take a nice photo with her. Super happy! The previous one at the brand ambassador unveiling didn't turn out too nice, lighting issues. Loads of people turned up and The Body Shop was awesome enough to open the session to walk-ins. All they needed to do was spend RM100 and they get to take a photo with Lisa.

When Jean invited me to do a food review at this new place in town, I was like, "Yeah sounds great but where is it exactly?". So I got lost. I walked passed it.. twice without realising it. In anticipation of the impending Hari Raya period, the Royal Selangor Group hosted an exclusive Ramadhan event help at the Royal Selangor boutique at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The highlight of the event featured a fashion show with models dressed in Alia Bastamam's 2014 Raya Collection adorned with jewellery from Comyns, Selberan and Royal Selangor.

I was looking forward to the Jonathan Liang show at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014 and it didn't disappoint. There was an iridescent jacket this year that I loved, well, it's shiny hence for me it was love. I was a huge fan of the green iridescent jacket shorts combo last year, show stopper that one was. Jonathan Liang stayed true to his signature crisp fabrics and smart silhouettes. The pieces that stole the show however were whites and neutrals iridescent pieces. The collection overall was filled with flawless layering, beautiful mix of textures and fabrics which created a nice contrast.

The head turning I want to line my eyes that way too kind. I suppose I could but stares would be inevitable. The Hafflins and Innai Red shows saw classic looks, with Hafflins going for bold red lip with clean lined eyes and Innai Red opted for a very fresh minimal look. Rizaman Ruzaini and Jonathan Liang also didn't stray too much from a minimalist look. While Rizman Ruzaini's look was almost nude, Jonathan Liang's appeared more luminous.

I had an exciting fashion week this year! It was different from previous years. This year not only did I get to have a sneak preview on some of the looks a few months before (post here), I also got to go back stage with Bobbi Brown to be a part of the chaos and have a closer look at the makeup looks that the Bobbi Brown Make Up Artists came up with for the designers. I mean I expected there to be minimal time to change makeups in between shows but to be there and see them do it under such pressure is insane. Bobbi Brown also flew in five of their international make up artists for this year's Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014, Felix Nguyen from Bobbi Brown Asia Pacific, Alvin Chou and Ice Wu from Taiwan, Siwa and Tila from Thailand, who also created some of the looks that walked the runway.

The Body Shop Malaysia has been teasing its fans on facebook for weeks. As of yesterday evening it's finally official, Lisa Surihani is The Body Shop Malaysia's first Brand Ambassador. Another milestone for The Body Shop and also a great way to celebrate their 30th Anniversary. After listening to her talk and meeting her in person, I understand why she's called "Malaysia's Sweetheart", she really is one. ♥

I had such fun shooting a video with Tongue in Chic recently and the video is finally up on tic TV. I reviewed the latest L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Powder. It's a matte powder foundation that is suppose to leave you shine-free for up to 12 hours. The main ingredient is Perlite, which is a volcanic rock-based ingredient that has oil control properties. 

Bobbi Brown does pastels this Summer! Some beautiful shades in the Surf & Sand Summer 2014 Collection, inspired by Bobbi's favourite holiday destination. Kate Upton also replaces Katie Holmes as the face of Bobbi Brown starting with the Surf & Sand Collection ads. The Surf & Sand Collection consists of two eye shadow palettes, two blushes, four sheer lip colours, Long Wear eye liner, cream shadow and a beach roll on scent.

I don't think I need to tell you beauty junkies that Bourjois is already in Malaysia. Or should I say back in Malaysia. Yes they were here many many years ago, left and now they're back! And I am excited about it. I've been a fan of those little round pots for a while now and I'm looking forward to try out their latest products. It's also seems timely as Bourjois celebrates their 150th Anniversary this year. If you guys haven't managed to pop by the Bourjois stand alone store in Sunway Pyramid because it's too far (ahemm.. that's me lol!) well Bourjois will be available at Watson outlets starting 7th July! Rejoice.

Here's a new cleanser from Kiehl's to complement its much loved Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner. Unfortunately the Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash doesn't have the hand-picked Marigold flower petals floating in it. I rather fancy having it floating about, it adds to the effect. However, it still comes in the amber coloured bottle that's synonymous with the toner.

When you hear SK-II the next thing that usually follows is Miracle Water ie Facial Treatment Essence. I have a bottle sitting on my dressing table waiting for it to work miracles, soon I promise. Until I try it, I'll tell you guys this, the SK-II Stem Power Essence is amazing!

Since my last scalp treatment, I have been using the Kérastase Sensidote range, a 3-Step routine for sensitive scalp. My scalp is much less irritated and slightly less oily. I also notice red spots occurrence is rare. Random ones do pop out but they don't stick around for long. This range is fantastic at sorting out sensitive scalp.

Gucci dressed Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this evening, celebrating the opening of the exhibit "Charles James: Beyond Fashion."

Beautiful summer shades to adorn your nails with. Bobbi Brown Summer 2014 Nail Polish Collection features 10 shades although not entirely new. You may notice some shades have been featured with various past collections but are just absolutely timeless. My faves are Bittersweet, Roza and Cherry Tomato. The colours generally go on smooth with some shades requiring 3 shades to achieve opacity, others 2 and the lighter ones are great for a french mani style. City Twilight is from the Pink Opal Collection.

Bright lips are making a splash for Summer 2014 at Bobbi Brown. There are five new additions to the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour range - Blazing Red, Miami Pink, Electric Violet, Taffeta and Cosmic Pink. My faves are the Blazing Red and Electric Violet!

When The Body Shop approached me to do a vlog product review I wasn't sure whether I wanted take it on as I have never done a vlog review before and I don't really have much time to edit a video. But I figured why not give it a go, there's always a first for everything. Besides it will be killing two birds with one stone - my first vlog review and fulfilling some requests from you guys which I received last year for me to do some sort of video.

A clean scalp equals to healthy hair. Seriously. We spend so much money on hair products and treatments and yet a lot of us don't realise that the scalp needs just as much care.. or even more. I have to admit it's only over the past few years that I have been making a point to pay more attention to my scalp and over the past year, it has just intensified.

Recently I tried out the Kérastase Scalp Treatment at Grace Salon in Bangsar Village II and the difference after the treatment was amazing. I had my scalp treatment done at the Private Room which was really nice not having people around and all, relaxing. I know you guys must be curious about the private room just as you are the scalp treatment, but let me tell you guys how the treatment went first.

I managed to get some hair care and styling tips from Grace who has been in the industry for about 20 years. It's very important to keep the hair and scalp healthy, not only with quality products but also with a well balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
