Chocolate Cats x Bobbi Brown - Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014 Part 1

By 15:27 , , , ,

I had an exciting fashion week this year! It was different from previous years. This year not only did I get to have a sneak preview on some of the looks a few months before (post here), I also got to go back stage with Bobbi Brown to be a part of the chaos and have a closer look at the makeup looks that the Bobbi Brown Make Up Artists came up with for the designers. I mean I expected there to be minimal time to change makeups in between shows but to be there and see them do it under such pressure is insane. Bobbi Brown also flew in five of their international make up artists for this year's Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014, Felix Nguyen from Bobbi Brown Asia Pacific, Alvin Chou and Ice Wu from Taiwan, Siwa and Tila from Thailand, who also created some of the looks that walked the runway.

Before I post up a whole bunch of photos, I just want to say thank you loads Bobbi Brown Malaysia for inviting me backstage. It was fantastic watching such talents in their element!

So I decided to break this up into two parts because there are just too many photos for me to cramp into one post. Choosing which ones to include and which ones to leave out was painfully difficult. I was updating live via instagram so you may not find the photos that are in my instagram account here, feel free to browse @fatinchocolatecats. Part 1 is from the first and second days of KLFW 2014. These are not the complete looks as I wasn't around for all the shows due to prior commitments but made sure I was almost always there for the rest. Yes I took time off work for this and it was well worth it!

Day 1 focused a lot on the strong liners as well as colours. I really like the sharp eye liner look created for Kittie Yiyi. It looked strong against the pink wigs the models had on.

The looks on Day 2 with orange accents must be one of my faves. The bold orange liner on the yes really popped against a monochromatic collection of For All By Villiam Ooi and Zakwan Anuar. The strong brows and gradient orange lips complimented Zero To Ten's collection with hints of colour brilliantly. Pink stand out brows were an interesting choice for Nurita Harith.

I'm quite a fan of the gradient lip now and I've actually wore it out a few times. Yeah I know I caught on to it a tad slow especially since it's been all the rage in Korea since forever. Part 2 coming up in a bit! :)
