If this came to me last year, I probably couldn't relate. But my first experience with contact lenses a few months back has defenitely opened my eyes. Though ones I have are without power (mine are the coloured types ;P), I understand the need for ease and comfort of use all day every day.

This new products from ACUVUE features 3D Comfort that optimise comfort in three dimensions for new wearers from day 1 to 14, all day long.

I did the "touch & feel" test and was amazed at how soft and flexible the New ACUVUE lens is compared to a competitor brand. I can imagine how this will hug and fit onto the eye comfortably.

Here's how it works

Day 1 Comfort: Packed in a solution with "Tear-like" osmolality, it provides instant comfort from the first moment of wear.

Daylong Comfort: HYDRACLEAR technology packs a moisture-rish wetting agent into the lens matrix for long lasting comfort from morning to night.

Day 14 Comfort: It also provides fresh new lens every two weeks for consistent comfort from Day 1 to Day 14.

Apart from the 3D comfort it also provides breathability, UV protection and ease of handling. Made from silicon hydrogel which is oxygen-permeable and provides 96% of available oxygen to the open eye. It also comes with Class 1* UV protection , the highest class available in a contact lens that blocks at least 90% of UV-A and 99% of UV-B rays to help protect against harmful radiation to the cornea and into the eye. This lessens the risk of getting cataract.

To make things easier for you, the lenses are visibly tinted blue and marked inside out so that you can easily spot them in your lens case and insert them correctly every time.

ACUVUE Advance Plus Hydraclear contact lenses are now available by prescription only at major optical shops in Malaysia. Each pack of 3 pairs or 6 contact lenses retails at RM69.

There's something about honey that I'm so attracted to. I think it makes everything loads more appealing and sweeter! The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Make Up range was launched in June in time summer. But since summer is all year round for us Malaysians, you can use this all the time!

I know most Asians shy away from bronzing products for fear that it might make them look tanned-ish. I say it's more like not really understanding the idea of bronzing and not really knowing how to use it. But I lurv the warm sunkissed glow it gives my skin! I was super excited when The Body Shop sent me some products from this range. The warm bronze packaging was enough to entice me, it's play time!! Yayy!

To do justice to this review I visited one of my fave TBS MA, Azza from the KLCC store to get some tips on how to use these products effectively.

The Bronzing Powder

Just look at the honey comb embossed into the powder. Nice! Best thing about this powder is that it's matte! So not only can you use it as a blusher but also for light shading for the day. It's finely milled with a light texture. It gives out a great hue upon application. To use for shading just apply it at your jawline. Blend well. It just softens your look. Azza says it'll look great in photos. Then apply it on the side of the nose bridge for a bit of definition. For that perfect sun kissed look apply it on your cheeks as you would a blusher. I lurved how this turned out!! I instantly looked healthy and glowy! There might be a tendancy to pile this on but keep in mind that it will get a tad bit dark after it has settled.

The Brilliance Powder

Warning - quite high shimmer! With a fine texture you only need to use it sparingly. If you plan on using this for a day look, brush it very lightly on the chin and the area slightly above where you apply blusher to highlight the areas where the sun would usually hit your face. Gives that radiant look. For an evening look, by all means go all out but try not to look like a disco ball. You can apply it all over the face, décolletage, body and hair too! Imagine the effect it creates when the light hits your hair. Superstar baby!

Lip Nectar

The shade TBS Malaysia has is 02 in Honey Beige. The almost rich honey-like colour has fine shimmer particles that can either be worn by itself or on top or a light lip colour. It doesn't feel sticky or gooey upon application and it wears quite long. The only thing missing is the honey taste!! Would've been yummy! *smacks lips*

I think this is a wonderful range and I'm completely sold! I'm all for that healthy glow! Plus bronzey glow is always the rage with celebs! Think Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez, perfect bronze babes.

This honey enriched range uses honey and beeswax taken from traditional hives as they continue to "work" once the honey has been removed. It contains Community Fair Trade honey from Ethiopia, beeswax from Cameroon and the compact powders contain marula oil from Namibia. The ingredients make it moisturising and makes the products non-streaky.

Remember I did a post on Caron Boutique about 2 weeks ago. Well I was there again on Saturday after spotting a studded waistcoat on their facebook earlier in the week.

Caron had quite a few new pieces brought in. What I thought was going to be a short visit turned into a fun Mix & Match session. Thanks to Christine, Caron's inhouse stylist and photographer for the session.

One of my friends lurvs this brush! I asked if I could take a photo of her with the brush for this post but it was a disappointing "No". Camera shy. *sigh* Unlike her I'll happily take a photo with the brush. Shameless! Lol!!

Brushed my hair first, questions later. Wow! This Pneumatic Paddle Brush feels really gentle against my scalp. It feels different from the Protection Brush and That Green Brush. Good for a delicate massage as well.

It has a round ended tip heat sealed to a natural rubber cushion base. The cushion allows pressure to be absorbed and evenly distributed on the whole brush for a more gentle feel.

Just like the Protection Brush and That Green Brush, it goes through my hair oh so smoothly without entagling it at all.

Tell me you don't want gorgeous curls. I would lurv to have 'em everyday if I could but my unruly mane insists on having the dishevelled rockstar look. I blame the hair! If you're one of those who's gotten the hang of blow drying curls on yourself then you should definitely try Acca Kappa's Round Wooden Thermic Brush. I've heard a lot about this brush and it's all good things. It's also one of the must haves!

You notice how when you get your locks blow dried curl at a salon it tend to have that slight burnt smell after. That's because the cheap round brush they're using is just frying your hair as the heat from the blow dryer can't go through. Notice how this brush has ventilated barrels which allow greater flow of air from the dryer making drying your hair much faster and causes less damage especially if you're using it often. No frying involved.

The nylon bristles are of perfect height and correctly spaced making it easier for professionals as well as beginners to use at home. It glides smoothly through the hair without entangling it or tugging on it. It's meant to be fool proof!

The dark wood making up the handle and the top bit is Kotibe wood which tends to stay cool. Therefore the heat from the dryer is concentrated only at the barrel and you can get your curled, styled or volumised loads faster. The slim handle fits comfortably into my small hand. Plus it's anti-slip.

I personally have not tried using the Round Wooden Thermic Brush coz I'm horrible at drying my hair curl and my hair isn't exactly the most obedient around. But I've had a stylist use this brush on me and I could feel and see the difference as compared to the cheap round brushes. The process is loads faster, doesn't tug or pull out my hair and it gives great results!

Used at a salon - Both brushes are 3 months old. The cheaper one on the right looks like its seen better days.

So yes, I think if you're the styling blow drying type, you should definitely try this one out!

That Green Brush could have been featured in The Green Lantern just for the colour! Lol!! This brush isn't exactly on Acca Kappa's must have list of brushes but it comes in handy when you want to keep an extra brush in the car, bag or chuck it in your luggage for a trip.

The main purpose of this brush is purely for brushing your hair. It's made from plastic and comes in a few funky and fun colours. It still has the natural rubber cushion base giving correct pressure when pressed against the scalp. The bristles are heat sealed, so you don't have to worry about entangling your hair with this brush either.

It's still comfortable to use and does not scratch at my scalp. Despite the bristles being plastic, it's rather gentle. Good quality plastic!
