Hair Chalked! with L'Oréal Professionnel Hair Chalk

By 01:39 , , ,

I have always wondered what it would like to walk around with bright hair and I don't mean the usual blonde shades. Well last week I got hair chalked with the all new L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk at Centro Hair Salon. The best thing about it is that you can change your hair colour as often as you want without all the bleaching and stuff, with loads more fun colours.

L'Oreal Professionnel Hairchalk has been spotted on various It Girls. There was Alexa Chung's 'My Little Pony  Hair', Poppy Delevingne, Pixie Geldof and Chen Ran. It's also been a hit at the London and New York fashion weeks.

L'Oreal Professionnel Hairchalk uses a revolutionary water ink combined with micro-fiber polymers. It is an ultra thin film that coats the hair without affecting the hair fibers. Applied lightly your hair should have natural movement. The micro-fiber polymer limits transfer and ensures colour that is water, styling and blow drying resistant. It contains pearlescent pigments making it visible even on dark hair. If you already have bleached coloured hair, the colour will turn out more intense.

L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk is different from your conventional hair chalks. It comes in a liquid form that's ready to apply. You just pour it out, use the applicator to apply, leave it on for 5 minutes and blow dry. After it dries you shouldn't have any transfer issues but best to avoid contact with delicate fabrics and leather just in case.

It lasts for about 4-5 washes and fades gradually. Then again it depends on how your hair takes to the colour and how much you applied. Tip: To remove colour faster, apply hair oil onto dry coloured area, then apply shampoo and rinse. Repeat.

Heads up to those with dry and/or frizzy hair, the hairchalk might get a tad drying so make sure you have a good hair masque and hair oil on hand. Try L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil - Rich Oil or I personally prefer Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil.

The New L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk will b e available at all L'Oreal Professionnel Hair Salons from March 2014 onwards. L'Oreal Professionnel comes in 8 shades but only 5 is available here - Sweet Sixteen Pink, First Date Violet, Blue Ocean Cruise, Garden Party and Coral Sunset.
