Base products get luxurious with La Mer. It's that time of year again! The Bobbi Brown Wine & Chocolate Collection for Christmas as well as Holiday Gift Sets are already in stores. Wine and Chocolate make for a beautiful Christmas inspiration. As Bobbi Brown puts it - "Dark chocolate and red wine are two of my favorite indulgences. Ok so this is two months too late but I wanted to put it up anyway. I am also aware that I haven't been updating regularly, believe me I really wanted to but I have been occupied and I have been trying to look for someone that could redesign the blog because I feel like it's looking like a right mess, unfortunately I have had no luck. I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things while continuing my search.

Sometime in August Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2016 happened and I got to hang out backstage with Bobbi Brown. It's something I look forward to because I love watching the transformations done and looks created by the talented makeup artists. The looks this year varied from a very simple look to something bold and different. I picked out some of my favourite shots to share with you guys. This new release from Bobbi Brown comes in time for long Summer days or in our case long humid weather almost everyday. A gel that makes brows that stay put yet still look natural? Yes please. I'm a brow powder on weekdays and brow shaper on Sundays kinda girl. So I wasn't too sure how this would turn out on me.

This year Lancôme has reformulated their Cushion Compact and has come up with a Cushion Blush to compliment it. It is enriched with a cocktail of ultra-targeted skin care ingredients to reach the ideal Lively Rosy Bright skin : a corn extract known for its anti-pollution properties, extracts of rose, mint and gentian for their anti-inflammatory properties, a combination of vitamin CG and a derivative of resorcinol to combat excessive production of melanin, a moisturising agent. It's also equipped with SPF 50 + / PA +++ protection.

A bit late to the game but the latest Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Compact has been well received in Korea as mentioned by Felix Nguyen, Bobbi Brown Asia Pacific Artistry Manager. I have never really been into the whole cushion compact thing as I find that the whole Korean style "moist" finish, light coverage thing don't seem to work all too well with me. But if it's a new Bobbi Brown foundation, you know I have to try it.

Pure skin. That's what NARS is going for this Spring/Summer with the latest introduction of the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30. It meant to makes skin look like skin and not masked with loads of product. The NARS Velvet Matter Skin Tint is designed using the velvet illusion complex that protects and perfects the skin with a soft-matte finish. Rose Fruit Extract visibly minimises the appearance of pores, while controlling shine. Vitamin C,E and broad spectrum SPF 30 protect against free-radical damage caused by environmental stress.

Okay so I'm an oil convert, and I was all for trying out the latest Shu Uemura Skin Perfector. It is an oil elixir that awakens the senses through an addictive skincare experience. I have been meaning to post this up for ages but never got around to it. I bought the Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Subra over two months ago, yes it has been that long, and I have been using it quite a bit.

Shu Uemura never fails to come up with a lust-worthy Holiday collection. Get ready for Maison Kitsuné for Shu! This is the French fashion cool kid Maison Kitsuné ('kitsuné' means 'fox' in Japanese) first foray into beauty. Combining Shu Uemura's Japanese roots and Kitsune's French elegance, the limited edition range includes 21 makeup items and two haircare oils. The packaging features adorable pictograms reflecting East-meets-West inspiration, a dress and a kimono, a beret and straw hat, a croissant and a manju, a fluer-de-lis and a plum blossom, a coffee and a green tea. The fox also makes an appearance on the nail colour bottles and the brush handles.

 

So I met Claudia Kim.. and she is gorgeous! All round super nice too. Claudia Kim is the current ambassador for Bobbi Brown Asia and is better known as her role Dr. Helen Cho in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Her photos started gracing the Bobbi Brown Malaysia stores a few month back and I thought she, 'Hey she's pretty!'. And you know what, when I saw her in real life she is so pretty with that complexion that we all wish we had. Luminous, glowing, flawless!

Clinique's first liquid liner if I'm not mistaken, and it's about time too. The new Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen is an error-proof pen that creates a clean line in one steady and simple sweep. It promises 12-hour smidge resistant and transfer proof wear.

Forget volumising. Lets fatten up the lashes instead! Ok so I love the name. The new Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara is the latest addition to the chubby family. It creates bold, volumised and luscious lashes with just a few strokes of an oversized brush.

Day 4

 

The entire five days was just manic. But I was just excited to be backstage again with Bobbi Brown at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFWRTW) 2015. This year has been very exciting because a lot of the looks were created by the local senior artists. They also had Felix Nguyen Bobbi Brown's Manager of Artistry (Asia Pacific) along with two artists from Hong Kong and China respectively backstage this year. It really is amazing to watch the artists work and see what they created because it was the first time I was seeing the looks, which were so beautiful.
