The final 12 crews for 8TV's Showdown 2010 took over Bukit Bintang on Saturday at 2pm! These guys got some serious skill!! Letting the photos do the talking..

The Live Show starts on Wednesday 12/5 at 9.30pm. Or to catch them live visit their fb for details on how to get passes.

Origins' Regreen The Earth Event on 1st May 2010 was held in conjunction with Earth Day at The Connection, Pavilion.

This was to make the public more aware of the importance of putting back what we have taken too much of from the earth. Trees!! The basis of this campaign is that for every ChicoBag that you purchase, Origins will plant a tree on your behalf. The green ones at RM18 and the cloth ones at RM20.

The Mix Fm Breakfast Crew started off the event at about 4:10 pm, introducing what the event and campaign was about. A few people were then invited onto the stage to share their knowledge and experiences on the importance of re-planting trees as deforestation is an ongoing global issue.

Mix Fm's Breakfast Crew - Ferhad, Rudy & Jay

Dr Loh - Executive Director of the Malaysian Nature Society

Mr Loo - From the Estee Lauder Group of Companies

Will Quah - Host/Weekend Eco-Warrior

To officiate the event/campaign they were asked to plant trees at the front part of the stage, which ended up being a 'who can plant the tree the fastest' race.

Origins believes in starting them young, so they even had activities for the Pavilion Junior Members. There were also lucky draws and games organised by the Mix Fm Road Runners. For every lucky draw, Rudy & Ferhad came up with an impromptu song about that person or anything at all. This reminds me why I miss Rudy being on Hitz.fm since I don't really listen to Mix.

The big giveaway was an Origins hamper RM800, to the most amount donated by a person! You'll never guess how much the amount was. I thought it would have been at least RM600. It was only RM160!! I could have donated RM180 and got it for myself. Lol!

Just in time for Mothers' Day i guess..

Origins SA were giving out samples to the people at the event as well as passers by in an effort to promote the campaign. Also ran into some blogger friends while I was there.

Ones I ran into :)

Didn't miss a chance to take a photo with Will Quah.. ;)
So very photogenic! (Him not me.. lol..)

However the event was cut short due to drizzles which eventually turned into a heavy downpour. It didn't resume since the rain went on for quite a while. Maybe it could have been held in a covered area at least. Seeing as it rains almost every evening it would have been a logical thing to do. Though it would also have defeated the purpose of having a 'Regreen The Earth' that should be outdoors. Well we'll just have to wait for next year's then..

Commendable effort though!

“The Key to Life, The Code to Youth”

Could Life Code Anti-Aging have found the 'Fountain of Youth'? If they have I want IN!

I have never really paid that much attention to the 'Life Code' signboards I see along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng or even the huge one above the bulding that has Old Town White Coffee on the ground floor. Well it's about time that I do since I am hoping to try out their products.

Life Code is able to reverse the aging process by providing 'safe, effective, rapid and natural products' and services to their customers. Being able to reverse the aging process within a matter of a few minutes has really peaked my interest. I can't help it, I'm aging! Lol!

Life Code Miracle ST (Super Tourmaline) Rejuvenation Therapy sounds interesting! This therapy serves to whiten, detoxify, promotes anti-aging as well as a slimming session to top it all off. Detoxifying and anti-aging could do a lot of good especially with all the toxins in my body, and if it can make me look a little younger, why not.

Miu has wonderfully organised a pampering & review session for Life Code Anti-Aging and wants to bring along 12 beautiful bloggers/followers to share the experience with. If you are interested just click here. The details are as follows:

Date: 16th May (Sunday)
Time: 2pm-5pm
Venue: Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur.
No. of pax: 11 bloggers+ Miu

My first Shoe/Bag post! Honestly I'm not really a shoe person but I'm a huge BAG PERSON! Nine West definitely has really nice bags. So when I found out about the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection Launch, I had to be there.

My lovelyy..

The Launch was on last Thursday 29/4 at the Nine West Boutique, Pavilion, it also coincides with the 15th year anniversary of Nine West being in Malaysia. Yes, it's been here that long.

This season's collection is divided into 5 categories - Metamorphosis, Fresh Start, In the Bizzare, Neutrally Calm and the Nine West Vintage American Collection.

I lurv this bag! But believe it or not I ended buying a different one altogether. My practical voice spoke to me telling me to get a bigger one so I can carry my whole room with me. Don't get me wrong I lurv the one I bought too. :)

After the fashion show, Kevin the host held a mini quiz session. He went around the boutique picking up bags and asked guests to guess the prices. The person able to guess the correst price will get a gift bag from Nine West. Literally a gift bag, a bag from the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. How cool is that! Aileen managed to guess the price of a large canvas bag at RM269 and won an evening bag from the Fresh Start Collection worth RM239. Kevin then asked anyone who came with a friend who brought along a Nine West bag to come over to him. There were a few but he picked Ai Leen and I!! Luckily I decided to use my Nine West bag that day so did she!! I won a gorgeous evening clutch worth RM239! Woohoo!

With our winnings! :)

Luckily didn't get robbed on the way out.. Lol!

The promotion of the day was Second pair of shoes for RM15 with any regular price item purchase! Ai Leen & I decided to share, she got shoes which costs RM379 and I got a bag which costs RM389. Which meant RM389 + RM15 = RM404/2 at RM202 each! See why I just had to get the bag.. :)

The Mermaid - I went home with this!

Ai Leen bought the Salmon/Nude one on the left

Food and drinks were provided by Espressamente Illy. Loads of them. The pizza was quite nice. But I must make a special mention for the Tiramisu served in expresso cups. As the lady finger biscuits/cake was soaked in Illy coffee, it was just lovely!

A fantastic event! My new bag is currently sitting on my table to be admired for a bit before I start using it. Lol!

That's the summary of what my Saturday was like.. It has been a full Saturday! The only thing missing from this list is a party! Well, the night's still young.. lol..

Started my day at 10:25am with sandals from Vincci. Great way to start a day already. Headed to over to Acca Kappa & met up with Miu, Doroshi, Pigita & Wing for the KLCC Fashionista Workshop. My first hairbrush workshop! Didn't realise til this morning there was such a thing.

Lunch - Pepper Lunch @ Pavilion. My first time there surprisingly enough. Not too sure why I've never tried this place before. Had Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese which Doroshi recommended. Quite nice.

Origins Malaysia Earth Day 2010 took place at The Connection, Pavilion at 4 pm. It was suppose to end at 6, but was cut short due to heavy rain. Will have a separate post for this soon.

The Apartment @ KLCC was the venue of choice for dinner. Greedy me had 2 desserts!
