I attended the two evening shows yesterday, Jonathan Liang and Isa & Baring. Managed to go through Jonathan Liang photos first. Since I don't own a cape and I was feeling mismatched, I put together spikes and leopard prints with a pop of colour. Pretty much like an angry feline. *laughs*

I was so looking forward to the start of fashion week after it went missing last year. This year fashion week is back via The New Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear 2013. I opted to attend the day shows as I really wanted to check out Jimmy Lim and Silas Liew (photos in next post). The first show of the day with Jasmi Rejab, Jimmy Lim, PU3 and Yadotsa was fantastic. Loving Jimmy Lim's sassy street wear style and Yadotsa's uber feminie silhouette!! Since I was only attending the day shows I figured I'd wear something simple with colours. My third installment of the See By Chloé series, Crazy Love. I'm known to do the most strangest things though I think I've been rather subdued on the blog. Although this may not really be one of those crazy ones but it did look really strange taking photos looking longingly at a bottle of perfume. It did manage to attract some attention. Some one came up to me yet again, to ask about See By Chloé, sniffed it and loved it! Trust me to end up with days like that. *laughs* Unlike the video of Crazy Love With See By Chloé, there isn't any throwing of stuff out the window. It would've have been cool though. But I suppose being in love with a bottle of perfume and having a coffee date with See By Chloé is a tad crazy. It includes a stalker fan letter too!

The issue to educate and empower girls has been around for the longest time. Up until now nothing much has been done to make this happen. Girls around the world face so many barriers when it comes to education, the main ones being poverty, early and forced marriage, domestic slavery, sex trafficking, gender violence and discrimination, lack of access to healthcare and lack of financial means. Girl Rising is long overdue. It's a wake up call to make a change now because by doing so it gives girls the opportunity for a better life.
I thought the video for See By Chloé Funny Trouble is pretty well thought off. It's something obvious yet still funny. I had something else planned for my photos but in absence of a particular item, I improvised. I was holding my breath so that my bottle of See By Chloé wouldn't drop on the way down. I think it was more silly than anything else though. *smacks self*
The first video for See By Chloé Dare to Reveal Yourself is Dare To Sing. I had my very own outdoor rock concert performing for imaginary fans the other day. My trip to Singapore with Reebonz Malaysia was not only to party but also for the launch of Reebonz Vintage via www.ReebonzVintage.com in conjunction with Reebonz 4th Anniversary (post here) at the Alkaff Mansion. I'm all for buying vintage. I mean it's a great way to not pay full price for a luxury stuff especially when you're on a budget but still want to indulge. Skepticism is normal though. I want to know whether the vintage item I buy is an original and not some A+++ grade knock off.
I find taking that 'Find Out Your Signature Scent' in magazines so exciting. Though most of the time, it's only partially right. Best way, get an expert to psycho analyse you and then tell you what type of fragrance suits you. I suppose that could be the most accurate option.

About two weeks back in the midst of coughing my lungs out (still am, going for an x-ray sometime this week.. again, darn you what may be bronchitis!) I was flown to Singapore for a second round of celebrations at Reebonz home ground (football much? lol). A short trip but a rather exciting one. It was held at the historic Alkaff Mansion which is this uber grand bungalow built around the late 1800 by the Alkaff family. With a very English architecture and wooden floors inside, it reminded me of my school. Had a nostalgic moment for a bit there. It has since been turned into a fancy restaurant. I was really looking forward to taking some photos and roam around the area but sadly when I arrived it was drizzling heavily. So much for a walkabout. And I don't seem to have a photo of me at the party. Wish I could travel avec le photographer (with). Oh well..

On 11th March 2013 the EU ban on animal testing for cosmetics entered into force. This sent a strong worldwide message in support of cruelty-free beauty. However an estimated 80 percent of countries worldwide still allow animal testing for cosmetic products and ingredients. There's still a long way to go for a worldwide ban, if ever that will happen. Say NO To Violence Against Animals!!
Protection of animal right and welfare in Malaysia might as well be non-existence save for The Animal Ordinance 1953 which needless to say is outdated. Animals deserve better protection and stiffer action need to be taken against those who mistreat and abuse animals. They are often horribly mistreated by irresponsible owners, the public and even so-called law enforcement officers. There has been many such issues that have been highlighted in the media recently, although it has been going on for ages, of cats and dogs kept as pets and more so strays. Action has to be taken against such inhumane acts. Not only is it heart breaking to see but it's also morally wrong, although some people do not regard as such. Appalling!
I had all sorts of plans for this write up but decided to forget all about it since I haven't been feeling very well for the past 2 weeks. So I decided to go back to basics.
Latest in town - HUGO Red. The face - the ever amazing Jared Leto! Could there have been a better pairing? I doubt it. The latest from Hugo Boss dares you to challenge yourself, step out of your comfort zone, try something new, be different. Jared Leto embodies just that. From his breakthrough role in My So-Called Life, he is also a mind blowing musician, a music video director, producer and philanthropist. And those eyes!! Makes me melt everytime. (I still love you Usher!!) Check out the TVC for HUGO Red, it's crazy inspiring! I felt like jumping out of my chair and living life a lot more after watching it.

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina EDP is a more woody, musky albeit feminine scent compared to the recently introduced Signorina EDT, a fruity floral yet just as sweet scent.

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina EDT is inspired by the romantic, a young romantic who embraces her sensuality. It's meant to be a fresh vivaciously cheeky scent. I feel it's an ultra girly scent perfect if you're looking for something insanely sweet, and to my senses more floral than fruity. The top note is filled with juicy Litchi and tender Grapefruit Pulp. Followed by Rice Steam aerial notes and fresh Rose at the heart with Milk Mousse and Cashmeran ambery wood notes in the dry-down. Love dessert interpretation of scents!
If the scent doesn't do it for you, I'm very sure the bottle will. "Aww.. that's so pretty will not escape you". It's the ribbons you see. Signorina EDT is housed in a clear glass silhouette with a combination of pink and lilac Vara bow at the neck. The colour combination denotes a sense of freshness and fashion edge. The metallic parts are a delicate pink gold shades so as to confer a feminine precious touch to the bottle. I think the shade compliments the pink and lilac gros-grains loads better than, say gold which could be a tad loud for something so girly.

If I were a real cat, 'panda eyes' would be none existent. If I were a cat with black patches around my eyes it would be considered insanely adorable but I'm not a cat, I'm a chick with panda eyes issues and despite being bothered by it, I think I've learnt to just live with it especially since trying to get 7 hours sleep a night is next to impossible.
