Christmas Q&A With Ryan Reynolds
Here's something different. This is an interesting read especially for you Ryan Reynolds fans. Ryan Reynolds is the face of Hugo Boss fragrances and wouldn't you guys like to know some fun facts about him. Enjoy!
When you buy a fragrance as a gift for someone do you go for something you know that they love or something different?
You have to be very careful because some people have a signature scent and that’s it, but I like giving something new, why not – you should have a repertoire at home, you don’t always need to wear the same one.
When it comes to Christmas do you keep it traditional?
Yes, I’m a traditionalist. When it comes to the holidays, I like to keep it the same. I like to keep Christmas the same as when I was a child; I like a Christmas tree, I have Christmas on Christmas Day and I like to have turkey or goose. I don’t like to do anything out of the ordinary.
Most people indulge over the festive period – do you give in and treat yourself a little?
Well, I like to give myself a little break from the treats during the holidays. But it’s all about the treats – it’s full-fledged gluttony. It’s like we’re eating dinner for the first time in our lives.
Do you drop hints for specific Christmas presents or prefer to have the surprise?
I like to drop hints, just to peak the interest, I don’t like to give anything away but I like to stoke the fire.
Is there a particular smell that reminds you of Christmas?
Yes, pine trees and pine needles. I grew up in a house that used a fake Christmas tree, which I never knew how awful that was until I became an adult and got myself a real tree. My father used to put up the plastic tree and spray a pine scent which was just horrible. So now, I have an appreciation for the smell of real pine trees – to me that makes Christmas.
