Review: Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in 24 Karat
Along with the release of the Old Hollywood collection (Review here) came Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks in two new colours - 24 Karat and Tuxedo as well as a limited edition colour - Bronze. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks is designed to be fuss free, effortless with high impact. Its swipe on and go style is a huge plus point. This cream shadow is also suppose to last for up to 8 hours without creasing, flaking or fading.
24 Karat is a beige gold and is shimmer packed. Judging by the name I expected nothing less. It has great colour pay off. The gold shows with just one swipe and the intensity is buildable. However don't expect a block type of colour, the more you layer the more intense the shimmer gets.

It glides on with ease due to the creamy formula and sets on the lids within minutes. So if you plan to smudge/blend, do it quick, because I found that it doesn't budge any more after setting. Which also means that the gold doesn't fall out or comes out on your fingers when you swipe it.
Using 24 Karat as a base had a beautiful outcome. A non shimmer cream shadow base makes a powder shade appear more intense but with a gold shimmer base it gives that subtle shimmer effect to the colour you layer on it. You can also use this shade to highlight. It comes in a retractable twist pen form making it easy to handle and keep.
Although I'm not usually one for cream shadows as I find it creases in a flash on my oily lids, this Bobbi Brown one surprised me. It fared amazingly well on my lids. The Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick went through a whole 5 hours before I noticed slight creasing and my lids started to feel sticky with product transferring on my finger. Worn on bare lids sans any type of primer or base, this has lasted the longest to date. Despite its 'up to 8 hour claim', 5 hours is considered forever on oily lids. I'm impressed!
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick comes in 13 shades (including the new ones) and retails at RM90. Now available at all Bobbi Brown outlets.
