3-Step Solution for Sensitive Scalp with Kérastase Specifique Sensidote Range
Since my last scalp treatment, I have been using the Kérastase Sensidote range, a 3-Step routine for sensitive scalp. My scalp is much less irritated and slightly less oily. I also notice red spots occurrence is rare. Random ones do pop out but they don't stick around for long. This range is fantastic at sorting out sensitive scalp.
Kérastase Bain Vital Dermo-Calm is a hypoallergenic cleansing shampoo for Sensitive Scalp-Normal Hair. It contains Calophyllum Oil - to calm irritation, Piroctone Olamine - to prevent itchiness, Glycerol - to relax and soften the scalp and a menthol derivative - to gently refresh the scalp. The shampoo smells amazing. It's crisp fresh, very much oceanic. This shampoo really makes my scalp feels refreshed. It does a really good job at getting rid of product residue as well as excess oil without drying it out. Here's a tip for you guys, since this is a scalp specific shampoo for normal hair, unlike mine, I use it only for my scalp and use a different shampoo for the length of my hair which sorts out the frizziness. This works for me so you guys might want to try it out.

Kérastase Specifique Sensidote Dermo-Calm Masque is meant to soothe, hydrate and protect the scalp. The masque is the same one I tried at Grace Salon during my scalp treatment (review here). It is enriched with Mentha P. ie Peppermint and Salix N. which comes form willow extract to instantly soothe the scalp. Due to It's thick texture,I tend to use this sparingly, just enough to cover the scalp surface. The masque soothes my scalp and calms down those annoying red spots making it much less itchy.
Lets talk serum.. the Kérastase Specifique Sensidote Dermo-Calm Serum intensely soothes itching, redness, tingling and burning. I love this! Apart from Peppermint and Salix N. contained in the masque the serum also has PS21 which increases scalp tolerance towards external aggressions. The texture light, almost watery. It comes with a dropper dispenser so all you have to do is apply a few drops and gently massage with your finger tips. It really just calms down and dries out those angry red spots. It doesn't leave a greasy residue therefore it doesn't clog up the hair follicles.
