MIFW '11 Day 3: Bernard Chandran - Personal Reflections

By 14:50 , ,

Bernard Chandran's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection was nothing less than sensational! It's inspired by 1950's glamour with his own interpretation and creation. "A tribute to his mother" as he says it.

Despite the sheer sculptural simplicity, it has such fluidity that accentuates the feminine curves with a touch of edgy sophistication. In this collection you'll find the cocoon pleated peg top skirt, the shirt dress, body suit and new refinements in the cut work evident especially in the jackets. It brings the 50's into the now!

I just lurv the fabrics and colours used for this collection. My fave would have to be the new thread embroidery hand painted designs. As for the colour palette for spring/summer, it's colourful without being too loud. Grey, silver, gold, green, turquoise blue, champagne and apple green.

In lurv with this skirt! Its gotta be the lace!

Fluid simplicity! Check out the fabric used for the skirt below, isn't it just gorgeous!

Brilliant details on the fabric!

Not forgetting my outfit of the day ^^
