Review: Origins New Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum
Origins New
Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum uses the power of ingredients from nature
to “teach” skin how to utilise powerful ingredients from nature, in this case
all 20 potent anti-aging plants from around the world, to address four major
signs of aging by visibly reducing lines and wrinkles, lifting, firming and
smoothing skin. How it essentially does this is by lifting and firming the
skin’s upper layers, hence less lines and wrinkles. Think how a box spring
gives support to a mattress.
Origins
has found that Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the compound in skin that supports skin’s
natural moisture reserve adds a layer of density to skin providing the face
with a plump, full and youthful appearance. The epidermis holds nearly 50% of
the body’s HA and with age natural production slows, decreasing skin’s density
and volume, ultimately leading to fine lines and wrinkles. This reformulated
Plantscription serum offers a complement of support to skin’s structural
complex, maintained by collagen, elastin and fibrillin while increasing
epidermal volume to diminish appearance of fine lines and wrinkles from the
outside in.
Some
of the main ingredients:
- Pea Extract - One of the earliest cultivated crops dating back to ancient Egypt, the Pea Extract is sourced from Australia and is a natural well of amino acids and peptides.
- Crithmum Maritum - Sourced from the rocky shores of Norhtern France, it is known as the “retinol of the sea” for its properties that imitate the benefits of retinoids.
- Bamboo - Found in the deep bush of Australia, bamboo is the fastest growing grass on the world and a remarkable renewable resource.
- Indian Commiphora - Extracted from the bark of a plant indigenous to India, it is has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for over 3000 years. Today, it helps re-densify the skin.
- Anogeissus - It is particularly into compounds able to stimulate the natural production of fibrillin.
In
case you’re wondering what the other ingredients which is part of the 20 from
around the world – Corn, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Micrococcus Lysate, Coffee,
Sweet Almond Seed Extract, Cucumber, Laminaria Digitata, Centaurium Erythraea,
Rosemary, Hyaluronic Acid, Pichia Cifferrii, Coffee Stem Cell, Raspberry Stem
Cell, Soy Bean, Apple, Siegesbeckia, Palm and Coconut Glycerin.
New
Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum promises that you will look younger in
just 2 weeks, used twice daily. Since I use serums at night only, I used it for
4 weeks and I saw a difference.
I
found that one pump was enough to cover my entire face and neck, then again it
really does depend on how much you need, but a little goes a long way. And I
just apply in an upward motion. The texture is light almost watery and my skin
absorbs it like a dream with a comfortable feel after.
It
does not take very long to notice a difference. My skin felt softer within the
first few days of using it. After two weeks, my skin started feeling a bit more
plump. I was looking for an obvious line on my face to compare before-after
use, and the only one that’s always so obvious is my laugh line. I started
noticing that it appeared a bit softer after three weeks. After 4 weeks (the
equivalent of 2 weeks 2 times daily use) it looks a lot softer especially with
my resting face on. On the whole my face just looks more awake, which I’m going
to assume is what the lifting effect has done. The laugh line looks even less
harsh with make up on.
Definitely
a serum I highly recommend if you guys are looking for an anti-aging one. The
