Christopher Kane X NARS Summer 2015 Collection - It's About NeonNeutrals
The Chrisopher Kane x NARS Summer 2015 Limited Edition Collection has only been in store for about a week and Outer Limits is already sold out. I kid you not. I was at the newly opened NARS store at Midvalley on Saturday to play around with the colours from this new collection.
NARS goes NeonNeutral this Summer and they are completely wearable. It's a collection you would go to for that hint of colour, wash of shimmer, all buildable at your pleasure. The Christopher Kane x NARS Summer 2015 Collection is inspired by the nature of neon and the nudes shades that complement them. The collection, which showcases Christopher Kane’s unexpected and edgy design aesthetic with NARS’ iconic and bold beauty philosophy, is the first fashion collaboration to feature a full line of Eyeshadows, Blushes, Illuminating Multiples, and Lip Glosses. Eyes are enhanced with iridescent rose gold, pink lilac, and violet. Cheeks are flushed with soft beige or hot pink. And lips are saturated in high-shine shades of neon pink and coral that subtly stain after the gloss is gone.

For me the star of this collection is the neon pink blush Starscape which gives a pretty flush on your cheeks and you can just add on more for that pop of colour. Silent Nude, a soft beige, however is one that can be used as a contour shade for fair skin tone. The blush retails at RM128 each.
The shimmer eyeshadow Outer Limits is beautiful iridescent rose gold shade for Summer eyes. This looks fantastic as a highlight as well. The duo eyeshadow Parallel Universe pairs an iridiscent pink lilac and soft iridiscent violet. These can either be worn alone, together or on top of a base shade. For a more intense look you can also wear Outer Limits and Parallel Universe wet. The texture of these are smooth and the shimmer is so fine that it doesn't look too much even for the day. Outer Limits retails at RM98 where as Parallel Universe is RM128.

The Violet Atom Illuminating Multiple for this collection looks cool and pretty. You hardly notice the violet once it's on. More of a silvery hint of violet kind of sheen. As any of the multiples you can apply this where ever you fancy, cheeks, eyes, lips, anything you want to highlight. Violet Atom retails at RM154.
The lipglosses - Save for Glow Pink, the shades Mezmer, Nebulous, Nucleus looks like liquid neon candy. It looks fun but goes on pretty sheer. The colour will show a bit better if you have naturally light lips otherwise you can also wear this over your favourite summer lipstick shades. The lipglosses retails at RM95.

Here are some pictures of the new NARS Mid Valley outlet if you guys haven't had a chance to drop by. It's much more spacious than the Pavilion store. The design is meant to reflect Francois Nar's living room. They also have a private room if you prefer to get your makeup done in a more private setting and it's for all their customers, just ask. The private room is decorated with some of Francois Nar's favourite reads including two of his own books as well as his favourite candles. So basically you're experiencing what Nars the individual is about.
NARS generously sent me home with some products from the Christopher Kane x NARS collection. I wanted to do a separate post on them but I figured since I have already tried them on in store I figured I would just talk about them in this post. I wore these out yesterday. Silent Nude being a soft beige shade is one I couldn't get to show on me at all and piling it on as a contour shade/blush made my cheeks look a tad ashy. The only other option was to use it as an eye shadow, a base shade. The Glow Pink lipgloss went on transparent so it's one to layer over a lipstick like what was done for me in the photo above. Violet Atom gave me a nice sheen without enhancing my oiliness. Although it wasn't really a stand out on me unlike the Orgasm Multiple which has gold shimmers and gives my complexion that slight warmth. My suggestion, Starscape is one to get as well as Outer Limits if you can still find it perhaps online.
