Estee Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment Review

By 11:58 , , ,

Despite having a really good skin month with minimal breakout in May, June hasn't been very forgiving. Early June was ridden with breakouts, hence the lack of makeup/skincare reviews because my bare face was just annoying to take before-after photos of. My usual spot treatment wasn't being effective enough. When the lovely people over at Estee Lauder found out, they kindly sent me the Estee Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment to see if it will help.

The Estee Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment was introduced some time last year as part of the Clear Difference range which targets, treats and dramatically reduce blemished, effectively yet gently. It is an on-the-spot treatment which is formulated with the highest concentration of Triple Action Clarity Technology. It's meant to work fast to reduce redness and irritation and also help prevent new blemishes from forming.

Triple Action Clarity Technology. This comprehensive, exclusive technology including a special blend of Salicylic Acid, Glucosamine and Laminaria Saccharina, works in three ways:

  • Stops the Breakout Cycle – With the power of Salicylic Acid, the system targets, treats and reduces blemishes. Skin is purified to keep pores clear and free of debris while blemishes are minimised. With continued use, this system helps to prevent the severity and frequency of future breakouts.
  • Refines and Calms Skin – A high concentration of Glucosamine, a natural and proven sugar-derived skin refiner, normalises skin’s natural cellular turnover, whisking away dead and dulling skin cells. This helps prevent pores from becoming congested with debris that can lead to breakouts. A potent, soothing blend of Algae Extract, Sucrose and Caffeine helps to reduce redness and minimise discomfort associated with blemishes. Skin immediately feels calm and hydrated, revealing a smoother, clearer texture.
  • Controls Excess Oil & Reduces Look of Pores – A natural marine extract called Laminaria Saccharina, controls excess oil while visibly reducing the look

I was well impressed with the packaging. It must be the coolest spot treatment I have come across. The roller ball applicator is very convenient and easy to apply however it's a bit difficult to control the amount dispensed due to the push dispenser.

The texture is light and absorbs quickly. It helped with most of the minor breakouts, minimising redness and treating it fast. With the planet-like ones, it took longer but it did help from not letting it go all red and angry. Instead there was a big bump that couldn't decide what to do with itself. I have learned that hormonal breakouts are just tricky. It will go down when it decides to, so I just have to keep applying a spot treatment and hope that it goes down as soon as possible. It did eventually subside after about two weeks. I like that it didn't dry out the breakout so I didn't have any flaky bits to deal with. It also works well under makeup when covering up.

Estee Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment is a tad pricey at RM133 but it's something that you could try if you are on the look out for a new spot treatment. There are however more affordable alternatives if this is not within your price range. Available at Estee Lauder outlets.
