Bobbi Brown Art Stick - Lipstick, Liner & More
"Lipstick meets liner for the greatest multi-tasking lip around" - Bobbi Brown
The not so new Bobbi Brown Art Stick is a lipstick meet liner chubby pencil. Having a throw back moment because these really remind me of colour pencils, chubby ones that can be used for endless colouring. I say not so new, because the Art Stick is actually a reintroduction. I mentioned in my Sneak Peak post here that Bobbi Brown came up with it about 15 years ago with the idea of having bright punchy colours and you're suppose to have fun with it. It now comes in 8 beautiful shades that can easily match any skin tone - Bright Raspberry, Cassis, Cherrywood, Dusty Pink, Electric Pink, Harlow Red, Rose Brown and Sunset Orange.
L-R: Electric Pink, Cassis, Dusty Pink, Sunset Orange, Bright Raspberry, Harlow Red, Rose Brown, Cherrywood
This current range however comes in a new and improved formula. Bobbi Brown Art Stick is formulated with Shea Butter and emollients which gives it that creamy texture and featherweight feel. The new formula glides on really smooth. You can play around with the intensity but it doesn't take much to achieve full coverage due to the amazing colour pay off. Although Bobbi Brown says that the Art Stick has a matte finish, I find that it does have that touch of creaminess. It lasts a good few hours without feathering. The colour I have is Harlow Red.
Here's the fun part, you can also use the Bobbi Brown Art Stick on your cheeks. Think of it as a fun version of a cream blush. You get to draw on your cheeks and it blends out smoothly without any blotchiness. I didn't find fading to be a problem as it lasted a while on me. Again you can play around with the intensity. If you think Harlow Red is too bright for cheeks, it surprisingly isn't. It blends out to a pretty flush on my skin tone. It does depend on the shade though but most of the colours are good with cheeks.
The pencil style packaging makes a no fuss to carry around. It also makes touch ups on the go easier and loads more fun! The Bobbi Brown Art Stick retails at RM88 and is available at all Bobbi Brown outlets.
