Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato - New Releases 2014
I have to admit 2 in 1 products can be really convenient especially if they work for you and suits you. The colours you will find with the new Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato is as delicious as its name. Really catchy wouldn't you agree. As you might already know 'Gelato' is Italian for ice cream. The name Tint In Gelato simply refers to the creamy fresh texture and delightful colours of the ice cream. Tint In Gelato comes in 12 Gelato inspired shades suitable for a variety of skin tones.
Tint In Gelato has this soft creamy texture which makes it really easy to blend. The intensity is buidable, a thin application will give you a sheer flush, layering will give you a bright pop of colour. It doesn't set too fast, so you have ample time to place and blend the colour.
It contains an Aquapump complex which is a combination of aqua pump and ester emollient oil which gives a moisturising sensation. It doesn't dry out the area you apply it to, making it feel comfortable to wear. However if you are like me and prefer a bit more hydration on the lips, you can apply a thin layer of balm on top of the tint. There are two ways you can apply the Tint In Gelato on your lips, apply with the special ring applicator then use a lip brush define the lip line or you can stain some colour using your finger giving you that stained or bitten look. I usually opt for the former as it's faster and it gives me that fresh not trying too hard look. The applicator is designed specifically for the Tint In Gelato texture and picks up the right amount of product at a time.

My cheeks do get oily after while but I noticed that the colour doesn't budge and it seems to set rather well. There is however some fading after a few hours. If you want to wear this with a compact foundation like how I did, apply and blend before the compact foundation. It works just as well with a fluid foundation, just apply it after the fluid foundation and set with a light hand of loose powder. Remember to allow the fluid foundation to set first though.
The final look is a good example of the perfect Pore-less look. Although in my case it looks smooth and fresh. The products used and required for a Pore-less look are Porefinist Anti-shine Fresh Cleansing Oil (review here), Tsuya Youthful Radiance Generator Essence, UV Under Base, Lightbulb UV Compact Foundation (review here), Tint In Gelato and Hard Formula Brow Pencil.
Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato will be available at all Shu Uemura outlets starting April and will retail at RM90.
