Review: L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Seve Protectrice
If you use any type of heat styling tool at all, you will notice your hair gets dry really fast and might even look damaged especially at the ends. So it's important for you to use some sort of heat-defense product to to protect your hair from heat damage. I have tried various over the years since I religiously started using hair dryer and straightening iron and haven't really found one that suits my hair. Most make my hair look flat after styling.
The recently released L'Oreal Professionnel Seve Protectrice is an oil-in-cream nourishing styling oil that offers high performance heat defense up to 230°C/446°F. It comes under the L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil nourishing hair care range. L'Oreal Professionnel Seve Protectrice is enriched with black cumin oil, a mythical and long-standing medicinal ingredient traditionally used at the time of the Pharaohs for its protective properties.

I have been using the Seve Protectrice for the past few washes and what can I say, I'm really liking it. It follows the signature fruity-floral Mythic Oil range scent which I find pleasant. As the texture is a thick cream, I only use half a pea size amount on towel-dried hair, which is enough to coat through the mid length. I still use a hair oil before applying the cream and it turns out fine. It makes blow drying/ironing my hair easier and it makes my hair looks smooth as well without drying it out too much. I apply another thin layer of oil after. It doesn't weigh down my hair and gives the curls an option to reappear if I don't want it looking too straight.
